I'm hoping this is okay to put here....it has to do with a home for rats.
A fellow goosemooser is asking for help with her 2 boy ratties that need to find a good home.  I told her I would be willing to take them, but I don't get my Ferret Nation until Christmas.  The cage they're in now is not so much the ideal cage for them and the cage I have with my 2 boys in it is only fit for 3.  I don't think I want to cram 4 ratties in there for 2.5/3 months.  BUT I really want to help her out.  My husband and I are on a really tight budget ( think little to NO money  ) so I'm wondering if anyone has anything cheap/free or something I can borrow!  I really want to help her out, so her boys don't get put in a pet store.  We're both in Portland, OR.  Anything would be great!  Please! 

I hate to admit but, I would consider that.     I would place a wanted ad on craigslist or freecycle for a cage.

If you check Petsmart,  some of the cages are on clearance because they have changed their inventory.  Worth checking.  They had a Super Pet critter cage (not great but no so bad) with the built in green wheel for $40 down from $70 at the Petsmart near me.  It would hold over until Christmas.

I'm going to check out a garage sale today.  A lady said she had a cage that would fit 2 rats (crosses fingers) for $10!  I think that would help!
I'll let you know how it goes.

Or, you could just have two rat cages until Christmas.  Doing intro's with a new cage is in my opinion, so much easier!
