I was wondering if any of your birds use tents?  I have 4 budgies and 1 Blue Front Amazon, Hank.  I wouldn't give one to the budgies (they'd turn it into a nest and have eggs in two days), but I want to give one to my BFA.  Anyone have any tips on making them?  I make hammocks for the rats, so I'm pretty familiar with the sewing machine.  If no tips, anyone buy any online that they love?

I tried to use one for my quaker (Ozzie) and it was a nightmare!  She turned into instant monster bird!  She became cage aggressive literally overnight.  So, I pulled it out and she was back to her old self.  I use the snuggle buddy (soft, ties in the corner by her sleep perch) instead.  She loves it!

I have 1 in my tiel's cage and it is completely ignored. For the first week he was terrified of it and didn't go near it, then after he got used to it he acted like it wasn't even there. Go figures Tongue

I did hear that some birds become cage territorial when given a tent, but others absolutely love it. You just never know until you try it.

I rarely see one large enough for larger birds tho, I was actually thinking about getting one for my Ekkie but everywhere I look they come in cockatiel/conure sizes and no bigger.

Well, I made one last night and when I redecorate his cage tonight I'm gonna try it out.  I'll post pics later if anyone is interested.

I have one in the keet cage. The lovebirds LOVE it. When the parrotlet thinks he's in trouble (which is often), he immediately runs inside.
I also put one in the finch cage awhile ago. I don't think they can live without it. But they do soil it quite a bit.
Usually, for the tiels, I put a box at the bottom and let them tear it up for a couple hours. Overnight and Mummy starts listening to her biological clock.
