I own a Martins cage.  I can't remember the number of it, but it housed 2 rats so it's pretty big.  If i took the shelves out do you think i could use this for a budgie?  The only thing i'm worried about is finding food and water cups that will fit into the little boxes that the wire walls form and how to get perches that will fit as well.  Any suggestions or should i just buy a new cage?

I have a martins cage for my smaller birds.
I use coop cups and they fit fine in the walls. I also have a couple bowls on the ground.

I put the perches from their old cage kind of diagonally and bought wooden perches (the kind with screws) to fill in the rest. Yet they still all bicker for the same swing.

The only thing i'm worried about though is the food dropage.  My old budgie cage had food and water dishes that fit inside a hole in the cage and had a dome over them.  Do they make those kind of covered dishes to just hook onto the inside of the cage?  i haven't been able to find them.  I also figured when i go to the store to purchase the perches i will take measurements of the wire squares and measure the perch end to see if it will fit.  i hope so, i'd hate for that cage to go to waste.  (Found out I as allergic to my ratties that were in it)  Cry
