wow.. sounds to me like you should have a same sex pair of birds.  I'm not going to bash you for the whole cat incident, because i had that happen to me with a budgie. BUT if you already knew that they could get out, why didn't you get them a new cage before one got maimed?  Anyway, not to sound rude, but you should not be breeding these birds, you clearly don't know enough about them.

agreed. just because it's easy and fun, doesn't mean it should be done by anyone with two opposite sex animals.

look into it first. you'll likely have them breeding non-stop soon, and then you're female will die because she's eggbound.

Oh well, all the smaller cages at the pet store were really expensive (our pet store has really bad prices Sad )
Besides,I found out that after our male bird was attacked.the femalestill wasn't pregnant.
I'm not breeding them just for fun or anything. I just like birds is all. And I didn't really know that they could get out when we first got them, because
the bars actually aren't that big. But I used to just let them fly around my room, because our cats didn't like to come in much, because of our puppy.
And anyways,my birds seem pretty healthy, and I think they'll be fine for now.

I'll only say this one more time:

You shouldn't be breeding those birds. -Especially- because you keep saying the female was/isn't/whatever "pregnant".

Learn first, THEN breed. Don't harm your birds just because you think it's what they want to do and is "cute" to have babies.

(Also, no one will reply to threads about irresponsible breeding, so don't expect many (nice) responses.)
