This morning I went out to find my beautiful Silver Spangled Hamburg hen Penny had passed. She had been looking quite ill for a few days now and I knew it was her time.
I remember the day you hatched perfectly my little girl. It was a bright, warm day with a lovely cool southern breeze. I went out and checked under my broody hen and there you were, next to a rather messy looking silkie chick. Your were the 3rd ever chick hatched under my care, your two sisters being the first. Your parents Sirus and Hentra were my first ever chickens. And now you have left to join your family.
My little girl, in the six years you have been with me, you have always kept me company when I needed you, always been happy for a cuddle and a scratch behind the ear (and a bit of bread if i have it

)
You have won at shows, and stunned strangers with your beauty. You have layed well until 2 weeks before you passed. You were a faithful girl to sonic (she refused to let any other males have their way lol) and a mother to many gorgeous babies.
I will miss you my baby girl.

Cant find any other photos. *sigh* damn I'm going to miss her
