I hope that it's ok that this is posted in two different sections. If not, I'm sure one of the mods will assist me with this.  Smiley I am trying to arrange a ratty train so that the 2 boys I have picked out from guardiantrinity's recent litter of Shenanigan's, can get to me and their forever home. I am in Norfolk VA and I am able to drive 4 hrs to pick them up. Guardiantrinity has graciously offered to drive 2-3 hours from her area to drop them off. With them being in the Chicago area, this leaves about 6-7 more hours needed in between from her to me. They will be ready the middle of August. Is there any one who would be able to help with even part of this transport?  Puppy Dog Eyes: I'm hoping that someone can please please help me get these healthy, adorable babies here so that they can start being introduced to their new brothers and everyone here who would love to meet them. Thanks for any help you can offer!

cheerio, it might help if you give 'stops' or route numbers so folks might be able to figure out if they can help you.  It's hard to figure out exactly where you need the assistance.

Good Luck!

Thanks for the tip! Here's a link to the other thread in rat tails. Maybe this might work out! Thank you all for your help so far! Hyper

I thought you were interested in Anesthesia's girls (if they aren't pregnant)? Wouldn't that be a lot closer?

They're not. It would be more convenient if that were the case, but as it's not, I'm very excited about these guys.  Grin

My fiance and I discussed the trip that these boys would have to take to get to me. I've decided I'm being pretty selfish in terms of the stress and length of time on the road that would have to be endured, as well as the great lengths people would have to drive to bring them to me. Thank you to everyone who offered assisting me with a ratty train. I just don't see much possibility in terms of IN and OH. I hope that these boys find a great home, and perhaps there is someone who has been hoping I would give up my claim to them. Guardiantrinity, thank you so much for the opportunity, unfortunately I just don't see it being fair to the boys or you to be dependent on my transportation situation. Good luck to all of you with these beautiful babies!  Blue Dumbo Big Eyes

Hey Cheerio - I read your last post.. Hubby and I are hoping to adopt out a few ratties to a couple of goosemoose members that live in TN.  If that trip does happen, we'd be more than willing to transport these ratties from TN to VA.  Just let us know if we can help.

Hi Anethesia. Thanks so much for the offer! I tried the shelters in our area to see what they had. All females available (only 3 available within 3 hrs of here). I have males, and spays are out of the question for me right now just due to finances available for vet costs (have our emerg. fund, but not much else in terms of things not "required"). I also attempted various local rescues, only to find that they are empty. Go figure. However, I am in luck. Jen (Mamarat) and Stacy (Ratattack59) are bringing down my young pew boy to be named Cosmo, from PA. Thanks ladies!    I am traveling this weekend to MD to meet with Jessica (Liamsmom) to pick up my new young tan and white veriberk to be named Kahlua. I am very excited about these new boys, and thank all of you who have helped me to find them!   Hyper

Cheerio, Does this mean that you are no longer interested in the boys from the litter I've got due within the next 2 days? It's ok if you're not, just wanted to know if I still needed to keep you on the adoption list.
