I just adopted two little boy dwarf ratties, one is an agouti and the other a fawn.  I still can't figure out how to post pictures  but here's a link to their beauty shots  Wink  Their currently named Shades and Sand which I actually think are pretty cute, but if anyone has any other name ideas let me know!

http://photos.msn.com/Slideshow/Viewer.htm?locale=en-us&config=%2fSlideshow%2fConfig.aspx%3flocale%3den-us%26folder%3dnBuRgwTGIGiLBkwOMHyxLClfVVV5WAVW8I16jtStnpY%24&data=%2fSlideshow%2fData.aspx%3ffolder%3dnBuRgwTGIGiLBkwOMHyxLClfVVV5WAVW8I16jtStnpY%24%26index%3d0

I've never had dwarfs before and I've only found a few sites with info about them.  If anyone has any tips let me know!  I pick them up from the breeder in a few days and am not sure what to expect but I am SO excited!  I'm probably not going to house them with my two other boys.  One is a hairless rescue who has become the largest, sassiest rat I've ever met.

I got them from Mini Mouse Rattery, a division of Miracle Rats.  They are located on Mercer Island in Washington State which is right by Seattle.  I have been on the waiting list for almost a year!

Good choice! They'll help you through any questions you've got. Dwarves are really cute, I almost picked up one of theirs at the Mercer Island show this year.

I'm thinking about keeping the names because I think their pretty cute.  Well see once I meet them and get to know their personalities.  Any name suggestions?

Go here: http://photobucket.com/ and follow the instructions there.

I went to the breeder's site though and saw a bunch of their cuties. Makes me wish I was going to Seattle this fall and could bring some home lol.

That's awesome!  Can I ask what your girls temperment is like and how big they grew?  Are there any notable differences between your dwarves and regular size ratties?

The girls were skittish at first, but are now wonderful girls. Still very playful, one is quite licky. 7 1/2 inches without the tail. 12 inches with the tail. The only difference I've seen is size. I've fallen in love with them hard! They are just sooooooo cute!!!!
