Don't feed him with your hand! Otherwise, you'll be doing it the rest of his life. You need to just let him eat on his own.. he won't starve himself. But if he does start pooping only liquid, you can hand feed him a little. My breeder has already told me that, when we got out new girlie, she would cry and cry until we gave her food from our hands... but I was told not to because of those reasons.
No ideas about the flying backwards thing though.. goodluck.

I figure, as long as they aren't hurting themselves, it shouldn't matter. My Quinn flys up and left and back a little when his wings are clipped too.. if that's what you mean, then it's fine. They're just getting used to the clipping.. when they grow back more, he'll fly normal.
