No-kill shelters for strays
«

Does anybody know of any no-kill shelters for stray cats in the Warren County area of NJ? There's a stray who I believe was abandoned by his former owners that I've been keeping an eye on. I can't take him in as I have pet rats.
If I call my township's aco he will take "TigerKat" to a kill facility where he only has 7 days. I've tried contacting other organizations but the best I could find is a shelter that will take him for $200 which I don't have at this point.
Thanks.

If a shelter is no-kill it will state it on their website! Hope this helps.

Where is Warren County? I know there's a no-kill shelter in Princeton.

The problem isn't in finding a no-kill shelter; it's finding a no-kill shelter that takes in strays. The facility in my town holds them for 7 days and then euthanizes them if they don't get adopted. The shelters I know of don't take in strays. Thanks anyways for trying to help.

SAVE in Princeton even has a special building for feral cats, and they don't euthanize them, either.

I just rec'd an e-mail from the shelter. The barn is owned by a local person who lets them use it for an established colony. They will take in strays outside the Princeton area but only if they have room which they don't currently. And with kitten season coming they don't anticipate having room for adult cats for a while.
