The other foster kittens thread made me want to share my foster kittens.

First there is Smokette. I got her when she was 1 month pregnant, and she had 4 beautiful babies two days ago. She is definitely a keeper cause I haven't been able to find anyone interested in her. Hopefully I can find good homes for her kittens. 2 boys and 2 girls:

That was before she had the 4th. I came home from shopping to find she had 3 kittens.

number 4 just born. Shes a silver tabby!

And then these cuties I got 3 days ago (1 day before SMokette had her kittens). They were thrown out in someone's front yard like a piece of trash for any little 10-15 year old to take. They have a cat they don't spay who has kittens often..and this is the fate of all of them. Nobody ever sees the kittens again because they believe these kids are throwing them in the canal right down the street. But no one knows for sure, except they just disappear. The two longhairs dilute reds/cremes are both boys, and then the other 4 are girls:

AND YES, ALL OF THESE BABIES ARE ON ANTIBIOTICS FOR THEIR UPPER RESPIRATORY INFECTIONS.

Also, if you live in Central California and would like one these kittens, please PM me. The older ones are ready for adoption in 3-4 weeks possibly a little longer. And obviously the younger ones have some time to go before they can be adopted.

lol, all night. Its the only way I can sleep hehe. The older kittens are in my bathroom w/ a baby gate put up..and two of them (The 2 shorthaired creme girls) mew ALL night long! And i can't put these guys in bed with my like I have done with all my other fosters cause I have a 4 month old puppy and this is his first time with kittens..and hes being a bit rough, so I don't trust him with them except supervised.

The most I ever had before this was 9 (I took in TWO pregnant cats at one time and one had 4, the other 5..and we only had to keep 1 of those kittens and both mothers!). I hope thats how it is this year..except its HORRIBLE this time of year. I have already been to the SPCA (FULL of kittens), people are posting ad after ad on craiglist for free kittens, and ALL cat rescues are full already. Sad. I know I will have a hard time. There are two of the orange kittens we might keep( We want to..but of course if we find good homes for them we will let them go), a friend of mine is taking 1 possibly 2 of the orange kittens, and a coworker of my mom's is taking the orange tabby girl..

I have to say I'm in love with the momma, she's a gorgeous lady.  And the orange tabby kittens...swoon...

I must remember that I already have four cats and that I can't have any more....

Hope you find homes for them!!

Aren't they just gorgeous. So many kittens.
The most we've fostered at once was a mom and her litter of four, four orphans, and then three puppies. Lol.
Quite the houseful.

Bwahahaha  UHUH!!   Yellow Cute Laugh  Yes, Tiger is an orange tabby ...

Punky, they're all so beautiful!  Good luck in finding them new homes.  I'd be so afraid I'd end up having to keep them all.  I just couldn't do it.

5 of the 6 older kittens are in their new homes Smiley. The 3 shorthaired girls went with one lady, and the two longhaired boys went with a close friend of mine bringing her cat total up to 6. We are keeping the longhaired orange tabby girl. Her name is Annabelle.

Smokette's litter is doing really good, they are a week old now. 2 of them possibly have homes. I will see if they stick.

I am very glad 3 went to one home and 2 to the other..It makes the transition between homes so much easier. My poor little Anabelle is all alone Sad..but shes been going everywhere around the house with me, and when Smokette's kittens are older she can play with them. (And we will probably end up keeping 1-2 of her kittens, so Anabelle will have playmates). She seems to sad right now though...all her siblings left her in ONE day! She woke up to no siblings. Sad

So it was just the opposite of one kitty being taken away from everyone and transplanted into a new home.  At least she's been in your home for a bit.  Does she get along with the other momma?  Can they play together?  And you have to admit, it's awesome that the other kitties all have homes!

Smokette's not a fan of her, she hisses. But I am working on getting her to like Anabelle so I can work her into Smokette's litter lol. (Anabelle tried to nurse on her when I was feeding them canned food). Anabelle plays with the dogs though, and one of my older cats (Paris) is pretty friendly with her.

And yes, I am very very happy that I found homes for the other kittens!
