i am having a hard time tonight with this one. i have in my years crossed over so many but this one is tearing me up inside.

i know it had to be done because of health and risks but its so unfair. im at a complete loss tonight keep asking why such a small one.

Oh, if only all those idiots who think it's "mean" to spay their cats or that cats have to have "just one" litter for their health could be in your shoes tonight.  I am so sorry you are going through this, but you know you did the right thing by ending the suffering of the poor animal, and really, though it's sad that the only kindness it ever knew from humans resulted in it being put down, at least humans were able to do one right thing for it.

(((Hugs)))  Thank you for having the bravery and the kind heart to do what needed to be done, regardless of the emotional cost to you.  I hope your heart will heal soon.

My heart goes out to you. My foster kitten had FIP but I idn't know it until I adopted him out to my friend. She took him to the vet for a reoccuring resp infection (he was on meds with me, finished them and was fine but the stress of rehoming brought on another) and the vet told her he had FIP. He died not too long after that. It was a terrible way to go.. you did the best by having the kitten PTS before things for real bad. *HUGE HUGS* Heart

My heart goes out to you...

FIP is a wretched disease. Trust me, it was a wise choice to put him down now. As unfair as it is, you gave him a beautiful gift. The chance to be loved- part of a family- if only for a short time.

I am so sorry for your loss *hugs* It's so irritating that this could have been prevented if people spayed and neutered their animals in the first place, and if we could get more TNR programs in more places.  =/  What a sad fate.

Good for you to take it to the vet first thing; so many people wait when they get a new cat and just assume it's okay.  You did everything you could.
