Congrats! I like the name Beans.
(my kitty-girl, Brittany, has been nicknamed Beans - I can't remeber why we added it to her name though! We call her Brittany Beans, Beanie, Kitty Beans, etc, etc!!)

There are so many studies about pets helping to lower stress/blood pressure levels.
If he's a stinker like my 3 cats, he'll lower your stress levels, but occasionally raise it

I dont have an air mattress anymore

Oh! That reminded me of something. When I was growing up (12yrs old or so) I had a waterbed. Mom was helping me change the sheets (it was hard to get them under the heavy mattress) and she let the cat chase the small air bubbles in the mattress.

Needless to say, I had to get rid of my bed because the mattress was full of kitty claw holes!

THE NERVE of some people  Roll Eyes
So this lady emailed me and told me she'd gotten the kittens speutered (which I really thought they were only 8 weeks and didnt think you could do that) and asked me If I could handle it gently.. and was concerned if I'd be a good home because I LOL and HAHA a lot... WTF?? WTF SERIOUSLY?? and then she asked if i had the adoption fee RIGHT NOW. which isnt something im concerned about, but yes. I had had it since before i talked to her.

LOL

So then I proceeded to tell her how I've had cats my whole life.. this is the first time i havent had one.. how my grandma used to breed Persians and himalayans when I was younger ( I KNOW I KNOW) lol and how id even bottle fed a few litters. Then I proceeded to tell her the LOLS and HAHAS were just habit and didnt reflect anything on me as a person. blah blah blah.
THEN.. im glad i did this, I'm proud of it... lol And I quote "You dont have to worry about me handling a kitten gently, I'm a grown, married woman and am looking for a pet  companion, not a child looking for a toy. Thank you for your concern though"

I just hope that wasnt too much of me sounding like a B and she wont adopt him to me now.. but my friend just said I was protecting my integrity lol OI the nerve of some people

I wouldn't worry about it too much.  She seems like she just wanted to make sure the kitten went to a good home.  Not a bad thing.  Smiley

Eh...I have the same problem, lol...when dealing with people on the internet, I always type like I do here, but sound totally professional and mature on the phone, so when we were looking for a dog for my daughter, I was e-mailing this woman on Craigslist who had a chi mix that she was looking for a home for.  I called her on the phone first, then we were e-mailing back and forth and she eventually told me she didn't feel comfortable adopting the dog to me because she wasn't sure I was old enough to make this decision.  I'm 31...how much older do I need to be?   Yellow Cute Laugh

It all worked out okay, since we ended up going to the SPCA and adopting a Boston Terrier instead of a chihuahua anyway.

Anyway...now that I've hijacked your thread....absolutely adorable kitty.  He looks like my daughter's kitten Rainbow. (Yes, she name a white kitten Rainbow...What can I say?  She's eight, lol)  Post pics when he comes home tomorrow?

See, I know she was looking for the best home and just worried but it was the way she approached it. her exact words were Could you handle a kitten gently for a wk?...he would need to heal.
And I have a serious question for you.  I am a little concerned because of the lol and ha hahas in your replys.  I just want to make sure the kittens go to loving caring homes.  Are you going to take care of this kitten and do you have the 20 dollars specially now that he is fixed and vet checked?

Which just really ticked me off. But oh well. Hes on his way here right now. lol the whole adoptionf ee thing made me laugh too.. Its liek. "i have pets, but i dont have a 20 dollar adoption fee, nope"
ugh. lol. she sounds really young too so hmm... <.< lol

His name might change though from bean to something else. i'm on a role with the random names. Maybe I'll name him BANJO or APPLE instead O.O I already have Banana and Kazoo O.O

He may end up being extra lanky, and have a girly voice when he gets older.  Seems to be a trend with animals desexed when they're that young.

One of my female cats was spayed at 8 weeks, and she's fine!  Smiley

Maybe you could give him a name that has to do with those little alien/antennae dots?
