So... I  thought I had a blocked tear duct, but I have stupid Pink Eye.. It sucks. And my "phobia" is eye drops; which I need for it.
I'm just really mad and miserable, it hurts, its swollen, I have a headache, it stings... I think I got it at camp, but this completely sucks.  sad1
Any suggestions to help? The doctors isn't open until Monday  sad3

Update: So... I don't know what it is, I thought it was blocked tear duct, then I though pink eye.... But my eye isn't pink at all.
I'm going to the doctors tomorrow....  Tongue

warm compresses.
on monday, your MD can prescribe eye ointment, or you could go to an urgent medical care (doc-in-a-box) on sunday.

In most cases the Dr will prescribe termiacin (sp?) over the phone. Dont rub your eye, and make sure you wash your hands very very often. Warm water and soap on hands. Warm compresses will help your eye too. Good luck..

Aah! More eye stuff. *blegh*

Pink eye is very contagious; you should see a dr asap to get drops. It's very annoying - be diligent about washing everything - the compresses you put on your eye, have a special bag to throw them out so no one else touches it.

The good news is once you're on drops, it usually clears up pretty quickly. But, it will be annoying. Try your best not to rub it, even if you have to wear a patch.

You have my sympathies!!

Yeah, just call your dr's emergency number, and they can usually prescribe drops or ointment over the phone.  If you wait until tomorrow, it will be really bad.

I have to say like everyone else, wash your hands!  I have known a lot of people who got pink eye then ended up a few days later with it in their other eye or family members that got it!  Wash those hands!

Perhaps you just have a scratch on your eye. That can hurt big time.

My sympathies.   My daughter had pinkeye in January and she hates the drops, too.  I had to hold her down and put the drops in her eyes...not fun.  Definitely have a dr take a look at it, don't just assume you know what it is.  If your eyes are not pink I don't think it's pinkeye, so definitely see a dr to get a diagnosis.

I get some really strange eye problems.  I have something called blepharitis.  It's basically when you get inflammation of the eyelash ducts.  If you look really close, you can see crusties at the base of the lashes.  I always have it, but sometimes it flares up really fierce!

From WebMD...

Blepharitis is a common eye condition, causing the eyelids to be reddened, itchy, and somewhat swollen and scaly-appearing at the base of the eyelashes. As scales become coarser, the surface of the eye becomes irritated and forms crusts, which may cause the lids to stick together when waking up in the morning. If this crust falls into your eye, you may feel like you have "something in your eye" or experience a gritty sensation.

What Are the Symptoms of Blepharitis?
The symptoms of blepharitis include:

Feeling like something is in your eye.
Burning of the eye.
Sensitivity to light.
Red and swollen eyes or eyelids.
Blurry vision.
Dry eyes.
Crusting of the eyelashes.

If that sounds like what you've got, ask your doc about it.  Hope things are alright!
