Help?

Hi, I'm Kat. *waves*

I'm new here and I already have a problem... you see, I registered the account 'walksmashwalk' with an e-mail that didn't work. And I couldn't find a "resend activation" link anywhere (I may be blind) in order to fix/change it. So I registered this misspelled account in order to ask for some help. I'd love to use my original account by switching the e-mail, if that's possible. Help?

(Sorry if this is in the wrong section... I bobbed around uselessly for several moments before deciding posting would probably be my best bet.)

Hi! *waves back* And you are in the right section,. This is the spot for, well, random chatter. If it was pictures of an animal or someting, it would go elsewhere, otherwise the mods would just move it for you. For the e-mail thing, my best bet would be to go to little blue bar near the top(not the big one!) and click on the profile button. Search around there for a while and see if you can find anything helpful. Wish I could help more! Yeah, if you go there, on the left there will be two main sections. Go to the secod one and click on the second one down.... your e-mail should be listed there.

Try going to "Profile", and look for "Account related settings" then click that. There will be an email option there, just edit that

Thanks for the help. But I can't even log into the account because I can't activate it. This is just a dummy account that I made in order to post to ask about retrieving my actual account. Does that even make sense? LOL... sorry.

Okay, the old name is set up with the correct email address.  If you try to sign in, hopefully it'll give you the option to resend your verification email.  I'll hold off on getting rid of this account until then.

When I try to log in, it says it's been blocked by an administrator.

Haha...  you guys should definitely stick a "resend validation" link somewhere easy to spot for us clueless newbies. The "Help" tab says there should be one but I couldn't find it anywhere.

That would also be a suggestion for Goose, but it may not even be something he has control over... someone else programmed the software for the forum!

Though, making sure your e-mail address is right is a good start... *giggle*

It was right... but apparently doesn't work anymore (it was my school e-mail). I found that out through this whole situation, which is probably a good thing...
