I'm invited to a Halloween party, and I have NO clue what to dress up as!  Honestly, I'm not really feeling it this year, so that probably has a lot to do with it.

What are you guys dressing up as?  Maybe I can glean a few ideas or inspiration.   Cheeky

Well, it looks like we're not allowed to dress up on the weekends in October at work this year, so my stuff is likely staying in the closet.

I have a few...

- Hogwarts robes (complete with Jo-Ann nametag that says "Hermione")
- My Ren Fair garb
- My "Tacky Tourist" getup which I wore on the cruise last year for the embarkation contest (Hawaiian shirt, plaid shorts, lime green faux Crocs, brown socks, puka shell necklace, flowered leis, white sunglasses, and a butt-ugly hat)

I will be at a Ren Faire, so ...yes.  Probably pirate , because it's easier to work in.

I do have my pirate costume from last year, but I froze my ass off...  I don't really want to do that again.

I dressed up as Madonna from her Like a Virgin video recently, but the same people from that 80's party are going to be at the Halloween party.   Tongue

I have some black dresses, so maybe I'll go with a generic witch or vampire theme.  Hm hm...

Because they have systematically drained all the fun and creative inspiration since the new CEO took over? Did I say that?!  Lips Sealed

Yup.

We're going to the Ren-Fest on Saturday and I'll be wearing the costume that I got there.. I'll be wearing it to work, also, if we are allowed again this year.

Then, on Halloween, I'll be wearing my "protester" costume that I am making! Smiley

I did think of dressing up as Palin, since I've been told I look like Tina Fey when I'm wearing my glasses.  Throw on a few wolf pelts, carry a rifle...  get Dave to dress as McCain and shuffle about behind me?

Nah.  We'd probably get murdered here in SC if we did that.

Omg, that'd be hilarious.

I had been thinking of dressing up as the dead-Hannah Montana due to the CRAZY amounts of Hannah Montana costumes that have been driving me nuts. I was talked out of that one..

Ohhhhh do it!

Back in high school, my best friend and I went as "Undead NKOTB Fans." We were actually HUGE fans, so we dressed up in our concert gear and painted our faces. It was so much fun... LOL!

We were going to go as the Yip-Yip aliens from Sesame Street, but we're probably not doing anything this year. It may be the first time ever I don't dress for Halloween. The Street party we used to go to every year has become increasingly more sketchy and last year a few people were killed there. So we're probably staying home.

I'll probably just nab my sister's pirate costume since I didn't get a chance to order anything new this year.  Hubby will go as "Vash the Stampede" from Trigun.  My daughter is going as Bumblebee and my son is going as Optimus Prime.

Haha. I wanted to be Hannah Montana with an ax in my head, and my friend was going to be Miley with some other dangerous object stuck in her.

I'm dressing up as a Beer Maid/Tavern Girl.  I ordered a genuine German beer stein from Ebay to go with the costume and I'm really excited!  I'm trying to talk my boyfriend into wearing lederhosen, but he wants to be a viking.  Roll Eyes

Hmm, last year I did the pirate thing, too.  My son was a ninja, so we were playfighting all day.  Year before I went as a fallen angel type, black dress, these great realistic demon fangs, black and red wings, real barbed wire halo.

I'm kinda at a loss, this year.  We're not doing the usual, which is me helping out at my son's class party/school Halloween parade, then trick or treating at night.  This year, for 5th grade, they don't need parents around, so no need to dress up during the day...and at night, we're going to the Tom's River Halloween Parade (second largest in the world!).  I kinda want something low maintainence and durable.  Maybe I'll just wear jeans and a hoodie, then do my face up all pale, and locate my demon fangs. I could be like some kind of undercover vampire or something...

Oh, last year my best friend won a costume contest, she was a "bathtub suicide"  Best costume ever.  She wore black leggings, and a flesh colored tank top, then snugged a rectangular laundry basket down around her waist, with shoulder straps.  She filled the basket up with polyfill stuffing to simulate bubbles, then did very impressive looking ladder wrist cuts, and "drained to death" corpse makeup.  She comes up with the best ideas.  Others:  Voodoo mama (like the chick in Pirates of the Caribbean, but somehow scarier), A Frieda Kahlo death mask painting thing, and a graveyard statue (very well excecuted, no one got it...not even with the fake pigeon, and pigeon poop).

I think I'm just going to wear a black sweater and jeans with kitty ears and some facepaint and hand out candy with Cello. We'll be dressing up as Cat and Mouse.
