Cry The Sony Cybershot died a horrible death today! I was holding Dilbert on my chest, trying to take one handed pictures of him using me to prop himself up and groom, when I dropped it...and of COURSE it landed right, smack on the lens  . It must have broke the gears that extend and retract the lens because it no longer does that  Shocked 2 . I won't be taking him to the "camera vet" though, since I bought the Nikon DSLR, I only used him for video and close up shots. It would be cheaper to get a video camera than to fix him I'm sure!

Farewell faithful old "point'n'shoot."  You were the inspiration to get a "real" camera and learn how to use it!

To get over my grief though, I must replace my friend with a new "comfort buddy"!!!
Now how much was that macro lens Huh

P.S. I did get a short video of Dilbert Doo playing in his bag before I killed poor old Sony Cybershot!

Are you taking donations for a new camera?  I think some of us might expire without more Dilbert pics!

Isn't it kind of funny how about 10 years ago it was worth fixing a camera and now it's not?

Oh, if it had been the Nikon, It would be in the shop lol. I spend 85.00 a year just to have it professionally cleaned!

That's not so bad!  My grandfather was telling me about some watches that were his dads that needed to be fixed.  When he took them in all the repair people would say was, it's cheaper to buy a new one...okay the watch may be 100 years old but that doesn't mean it's not worth anything!  Sometimes money doesn't matter.
