I'm so done, I'm sick of being pregnant at this point. I am considered full term, now it's just the waiting game, lol.

So I read online that swinging on swings can help him "drop" down into the pelvis more, here's the result...

$20 will get you a yoga ball if you don't already have one. 5 people told me to bounce up and down on that thing for a long time and that it worked for them... and it worked for me, too. Even if I hadn't been sitting on it for my entire pregnancy it would have been worth the money  :yelcutelaugh:  I bounced up and down for about an hour and a half and I thought my husband was going to freak out and slap me off the ball (later he told me he didn't even notice. ::) )  My water broke the next day at noon.  :thumbsup2:

I should see if I can borrow one from work (I work at a gym). I think I'll ask tomorrow, lol.

lol andrea, that is what I said. I told him today to suck it up and take it like a man!

Eileen, Dave (DH) is a grown man and still gets stuff on his face while eating sometimes, lol!

I can't believe you're already that far along Kelly!  Holy cow!  And look how big Davey is getting!  Tell Dave to suck it up and help you out!  haha   Hopefully you can get a yoga ball.  I never had one when I was pg with K, but I've heard they work great, plus they're awesome for when you're in labor.

Well, I am being induced tomorrow! I am so uncomfortable and just want to be done.

I go in at 7 am and my midwife will break my water at 8.

Wish me luck everyone. My belly was measuring 42 weeks at my last appointment, which doesn’t mean the baby is measuring that (though we did do an u/s to estimate his weight and check out his lungs, etc), but in any case, I am carrying around a huge belly, the size of someone who is 42 weeks pregnant.

I remember when my mom was pregnant with my little sister- her clothes were HIDEOUS.  I remember one outfit quite well...an enormous, shapeless, red and white striped shirt with green shorts *cringe*

He's here! I had him yesterday at 12:09 pm after 3 hours of labor. Doesn't SOUND bad, but my epidural wore off completely and I felt everything, it HURT. I'd have to say probably the worst pain of my life actually. lol. But it's over now.

He weighs 9 lbs, 4 oz and is 21 inches long.

Wow! That was fast! Congrats:) Can't wait to see pictures of little Jacob!

How long do epidurals normally last?  And wow, only 3 hours?  Nice!!  :)

You know, my sister had both of her children without any kind of pain meds/epidurals.  She refused...  she's much more brave than I am.   :eek:

3 hours!  Wow!  He must have gotten brush burns on the way out!
My first took 39 hours - and ended in a c-section.
My second took six (I think) and was also a C, but only because she was breach (and big).
 
Pain is relative, I suppose.  The first step out of bed after abdominal surgey is a real killer.  That's why they have a husky orderly/nurse at each elbow.  :wink5:

ouch, the epidural wore off??  My doctor doesn't believe in a woman being in pain if she doesn't have to be.  He made sure I had enough medicine to last me through the delivery.  I cringed when I saw the bag empty and I still hadn't even started pushing yet, but they just hooked up another bag and i was good to go..PHEW!!! 

That was a very fast delivery!! Congratulations, can't wait to see pictures!!!!

3 hours????  Wow...next time I am pregnant I wanna be just like you  :bow: .  I was in hard labor for 27 hours and 16 I did it with no epidural because I thought I was going to be a hero...I learned from that mistake  :doh: .  Next time, if there is a next time, I'm going to get the epidural as soon as I walk into the hospital  ;D.  Maybe they will make one for home that I can give my hubby to inject me with  :yelcutelaugh:  ::)

Well with Davey it lasted the whole time I was in labor, I didn't feel a thing.

Davey is LOVING being a big brother, he goes around telling everyone that Jake is his baby brother and that he's a BIG brother. lol. So far he's doing really well with everything.

Congrats!  Quite the cutiepie you've got there! 

3 hours is great!  My first was just under 2 hours, and the second was about 2.5 - 3 hours.  I thank my mom for such speedy delivery service, since births tend to follow the same patterns as your own mother!  ;)

He is super handsome! He looks just like his brother! And wow, those are blue, blue eyes! Very, very handsome! I still remember the first time you posted about your pregnancy with Davey! Seems like yesterday...

BUT he's not always happy, he's actually very fussy. He has reflux so that is part of the reason why. We have a GI specialist appt on July 25th. It's so hard because sometimes when he's nursing he'll writhe in pain and you can hear his little belly gurgling, he projectile vomits a lot, I change my shirt at least 2 times a day. :(

My son was put on reglan at 3 weeks of age, due to his reflux and projectile vomiting.  It helped considerably, but it still is not an easy thing to deal with.  I could have smacked a friend who 'so sweetly' announced that her daughter had newly cleaned jammies EVERY night!  I sweetly replied, "Ben gets his jammies changed probably 8 - 10 times a day."  Our solution ended up being a fundoplication  (http://www.webmd.com/heartburn-gerd/fundoplication-surgery-for-gastroesophageal-reflux-disease-gerd) when he was 14 months old.   Barf city sucks.

a) I can't believe how big Davey looks. I am feeling old as I remember when he was a little peanut.
b) Jake is so adorable! Does he have the same color hair as Davey?

Davey does like being a big brother. lol. And I know, he's getting so big! He'll be three in September! Holy cow!

Jake has the same color hair that Davey did as a newborn, then Davey's hair got really light as he lost his baby hair and it grew back in, almost dirty blond, then back to brown. lol. He also got these little curls that stuck out, they were so cute!

Jake is still having reflux issues. His GI appt is on July 24th, I can't wait, the poor kid is always throwing up, like spewing across the room. It's awful, and he screams afterwards. :(

Oh and his GI appt was today, I have to cut all dairy out of my diet and see if that helps. I'm taking it as a personal challenge though. I got some rice milk today and some chocolate almond milk too. And I found some recipes for dairy free desserts.

I'm a nanny for a little girl (and her twin) who has really bad GERD. She went to the hospital to get an NG tube today.   :'( Is he gaining weight ok?

Sorry to be talking about sad things. He's beautiful!!

Thanks. He's gaining really well, so I am not too worried, it could be worse. We'll see how this 'no dairy' thing goes and evaluate it from there.
