Oh she's adorable!! truly!
At the pet store I worked at they had a black puppy with her face....I wanted that thing SO bad but the parents said "no we already have two dogs" (Funny thing about that, I got a 4 week old puppy from a bunch of teeny-boppers 3 weeks later)
Anyways that dog was the BEST behaved dog ever...and I always thought she'd gotten a good home...then I saw the new owner walking towards the store with her in lead...dog SNIFFS at the ground this lady starts SCREAMING at it and hits it...
Yeah my stomach still crumples when i think about it..
Anyways got WAY side tracked...gorgeous dog! I'm glad you saved her!

Awwwww. It's a good thing you took care of her.  I'd have problems with a face like that too.

That's what prescription meds and 5 years of allergy shots are for  Grin . I just wish they would make shots for rodents.  Then I would be set.  No, they need to make it for horses and cows too.  To think my parents were raised on a farm.  I would have been a gonner if they stayed.
And that is such a cutie!!  Makes me remember my cousin's dog.  Just like that one but black and bilingual. He understood complex sentences like go into the kitchen and get your slippers and give them to Zelda.  I miss him (the vet says he died of cancer but we'll never know).

Thanks! I am really in awe of the people who took the time to rescue this little reject and transport her not just to another city, but to another country to save her life.

They must have seen in her what I see - the bestest, sweetest little girl in the world! Grin

A little obsessed with rats...

Aaaaaaww! She's beautiful!  She reminds me of the little staffie bull baby I met the day mum met Jake...kinda sad causse I was like "mum, getover here!  this is the cutest puppy ever!", but she was just sitting there drooling over this HUGE lab, and I don't even like  labs, but I wanted a dog so much that I just mooned over him with her, where I should have gotten the staffie bull, but she'd never allow it, yknow?  And then while we were still pondering over wether or not to get the lab, my bro found the dog of HIS dreams, but my mum refused to get a dog besides the lab.  And that was an adorable witto doberman mix puppy who was sooo well behaved and 100% bro's kinda puppy.  I still ant that staffie bull, my bro still wants that doby mix, but my mum gave the lab up las fall...jeez.

OMG!  I talk waaaaaay too much!  Okay, so all I wanna really say is she's beautiful and you're lucky beyond all belief!

Your mom adopted a rescue dog and then gave it up?
I'm very sorry to hear this - these poor dogs have gone through so much, and no one should adopt one unless they are really really sure it's the right one for them!
Why did she give it up?

Staffy puppies are drop-dead adorable, and I was torn between a 15 week old red nosed girl and Chloe, who is 2.

The problem with Amstaff puppies is that you have no way of knowing what the level of dog aggression will be as they mature.
Hehe - adopting an adult also has the advantage of no peeing, chewing, howling all night....and all the other things that go along with puppies! (but they are CUTE!)

Why did she give it up?

Well, my mum had wanted a yellow lab forever, and Jake was just an absoloutly great dog, but he had a few problems...we didn't know about them when we adopted him.
1.  We could deal with this, but he had that disease with the seizures, and it was really hard to deal with, and we wanted to be there when he had them so we could make sure he was okay, bt it was barely ever possible, as we live busy lives.  The humane society didn't tell us aboutthis one.
2.  He was REALLY smart.  I could teach him about five tricks a day...but I taught him one trick where he would spin around in circles...he then added howling to the trick and used it as a REALLY annoying begging tool during dinner.  This isn't really why we got rid of him, tho.
3.  He was huge, and barely fit in our house.
4.  he had a thing for getting into the garbage when us girls were on our periods and bringing out all the period junk into the living room and chewing on it.  Didn't give him up for that either, tho it was discusting.
5.  #1 reason- my mom was allergic to him.  She was never allergic to dogs while we lived in Alaska...but I think it must be the Colorado air.  Also, her bf is allergic to dogs.  I actually think she gave Jake up for her bf (annoyingly enough). I'm supposed to be highly allergic to furred animals...never had a reaction to them, tho, and I live with them all the time.
6.  1-4 put together.

So, that's why she gave him up.  We didn't know anything but his size before we got him.  The humane societys bad like that.

What a beautiful girl, she also has a great name-same as my cat lol! My PittBull/Boxer mix Bronson is the biggest spoiled brat. I had to take him the day he turned 2wks. old cause the pups were dying, so I took him and his sissy(my friend took her) We raised them on bottles or bobbies as bronson calls them. They were the only two pups that survived-parvo-got them out just in time I guess.

Eeep!  I wanna Staffie so bad!  I think it's time to start volunteering at the shelters again...  Then I can get my doggie fix.  Grin  The one bad thing about ernting from my Gram, no Pits.  Why you ask?  Because her Mom was bit by a poorly trained/socialized one YEARS ago.  She's never even tried to get to know one.  Sad  Maybe if I told her it was a AmStaff instead of a Pit Bull?  lol

Chloe is a total cutie!  I bet you guys will have a ton of fun together.  Smiley
