At the beginning of this year I met some wonderful people who have a great organization
Pit Bull Rescue San Diego. In April of this year they drove 236 miles to Bakersfield to bring home 22 possible pit mix puppies from a desperate situation in the Bakersfield Shelter.

The first quilt is "Pieces of Life" quilt and is for all of us who have had rescues of any breed, color or age come through our lives if even for just a short time. Although each are wonderful they make up parts of our lives and will always remain, our Pieces of Life. This quilt is done in memory of Hermione, the OC mange baby who tried to hang in despite all her illness's and severe skin infection, but she lost the battle.
