Looking for small dog or puppy to adopt in nc triangle area

I am posting this for a friend. My best friend had a chihuahua for 14 years that unfortunately passed away in January. She was blind and deaf, but my friend refused to put her down at the vet's office, she wanted her to pass on her own at home. She is now ready for another chihuahua or small dog. However, she doesn't have the money to go to a breeder and pay the high prices of a puppy. She would like to adopt one no older than a year old or two years old and is small no more than 20 pounds. She has no kids so she treats her pets like her own children. She does have cats but they are mostly outdoors. She lives outside of Raleigh and Wake Forest so if anyone who reads this knows someone who is looking for a home for their small dog or puppy and lives in that area please reply to this. She would greatly appreciate it and so would I, she has been very depressed since her chihuahua passed away and she misses her dearly. Thanks for reading.

Hi, I have a 1 yr old Mini Jack Russel Terrier This is a GREAT, LOVING pup.. I bought him for my 86 yr old Grandfather for a companion.. but he isnt able to care for him anymore. He is House Broken, been around horses his entire life and LOVES kids.
