I've written about Barney's blindness in the Dog Care section, but I thought I'd share a current picture of him. He went suddenly blind after cataract surgery in April and has made marvelous progress living as a blind dog. He developed uncontrollable glaucoma about 4 days after surgery.
This is a picture of my former stepdaughter's 12 year old cuddling with him. He may be a 130 pound bullmastiff, but he's always been a big cuddlebug. You can actually see the greenish glow of glaucoma in his eye in this photo.
He's playing again, has learned his way all around the house and yard and manages steps wonderfully (with us as his seeing-eye person)

The hairless areas on his arms are where they shaved him for surgery. We've had to put "leg warmers" (cut off tube socks) on him sometimes because he won't leave the areas alone to let hair grow back right.
