I was thinking of going with the SP Exotics cage for my five girls, right now they are in a rat manor, and the babies are rapidly outgrowing it at almost two months with my older girls. I'm heading to an area with a petsmart today and was thinking of just footing the bill for an SP exotics cage. I have looked into martin's and ferret nation cages, the problem is they are to big for my tiny bedroom  I'm squished with two rabbit cages plus my girls cage, so anything that is quite that big is pretty much out of the question D:. My girls are small, so I was debating if this cage would be okay for them? Plus my girls are acrobats and always fighting over their wheel, I think this cage would give me enough room to add a second wheel XD

A lot of people have gotten the SP Exotics cage, and love it! Looks like a great cage, especially if you don't have the room for a FN. I'm sure quite a few SP Exotics fans will chime in, hehe. Good luck!

I din't have room for a FN so I got a Feisty Ferret cage at Petsmart.  It is considerably smaller.  Not much wider than the Rat Manor (I have one of those too) but really tall with big doors.  I really like it.  I have 1 6 month girl and 2 3 month old babies in it.  They haven't been able to get out.  The bar space is a little smaller than the FN.
I was thinking about getting the SP cage but didn't think it was that much bigger than the Rat Manor.  This is what I ended up with.  I printed off a sale price off of Drs Foster and Smith and they honored the price of $119.99.  Only $20 more than the SP cage. Smiley

I personally agree with Julie, that's the cage that I have now, too, and I love it. I have my 3 big boys in it now, and in a few weeks after intro's and all, I hope to move my little nekkie babies in there, too.

But I know like I said, there are a lot of SP Exotics fans around here, too. But it just seemed a bit too small to me. Better than many others, though, and it has solid floors instead of wire, which is a plus.

Actually the feisty ferret cage is the cage I ended up getting XD. Its bigger than the Rat Manor by quite a bit. Petsmart didn't have the SP exotics, so I went with the Feisty Ferret, which is a bit taller.

Quite a few colorful words helped me and my dad put it together XD We put the middle on the top and forgot the bottom, but I chose not to put it in, I don't want my girls walking on wire D:

Yellow Cute Laugh Yellow Cute Laugh  I didn't put the bottom in either.  I also covered the middle with linoleum stick on tiles from the dollar store.  I put the cage together by myself.  My husband was at work.  It was a pain but worth it.

And yes, for ratties you're supposed to leave the bottom wiring out, so glad you did! Now that the fun of putting it together is over, you can enjoy how happy your ratties will be with all that space! Blue Dumbo Smile

I'll have to get pictures after they settle in. It took them a good hour to figure out how to get up to the top  Yellow Cute Laugh The cage just look so...empty. Tomorrow I will be making hammocks and maybe getting a litter box, my girls are not litter trained so they will be peeing all over this cage  They have two hammocks right now and their wheel, but the cage still just looks so BIG. Then again, I had my five girls in a Rat Manor, and in comparison it was tiny  Worry I'm probably going to move my two foster boys into it after I clean it out Smiley (The rat manor that is, not with the girls...I can't imagine the results that would have  Yellow Cute Laugh)

Mine were not litter trained either but I put a litter box at the bottom of the lower ramp (like you see that they do with the FN's)  and another box on back right of the middle ramp.  They have been consistently pooping in the litter box since I put them in.  They still pee where ever but I heard that is harder anyway.  You already saw pics of mine.  It isn't overly crowded.
