Amos!

This song in the video has always reminded me of Amos and I's time together. Alittle backround so the song makes more sense:

I found Amos on March 27 2006 in a rural area, scared to death, cowering, in the rain and underweight. I wasn't ready for a dog, had no money to get him neutered and no money to spare for another "expense." He had food allergies, and aggression and after talking to some trainers, they told me to get rid of him and one even told me to have him put down. Potential adopters, one after the other failed and never got past the interview process (one wanted him as an outdoor dog, one wanted to hunt him, another wouldn't continue raw with him which controls his allergies 100%) and I swayed back and forth between keep him and rehome him. We had so many struggles to overcome and eventually we did. As you can see, he was NOT put to death, is pretty much nonreactive around food now, and has accomplished alot in his short life with me. He has helped rehabilitate unsocial dogs including the JRT I fostered, he's brought joy, love and acceptance to many children and mentally/physically handicapped people, and raised awareness about low cost spaying and neutering programs for low income families by raising over $600 for a local charity that funds s/n clinics all around St Louis. Amos amazes me every single day and when I think about the love I have for this dog I often find myself tearing up. He has changed my own life as well, helped me stay sober and learn how to combat my fears and be apart of the human race again. He even shaped my future career- dog training and has put life back into my heart. We're far from perfect and we still have alot to work on but not by ourselves anymore. We work as a team now.

Oh Heather, you owe me at least 3 years of my life!
So I click on this, then the first word I see is Amos (I didn't see the smilee face in the title of this posting until later...) and I thought something had happened to him.
I have always loved Amos. I remember the first time I saw his picture in your posting signature - remember, I had to send you a PM? He is sooooo handsome and just really, really wonderful! Those pictures made me cry (a good cry!) and I think it is AWESOME that you two are a team and that he has already done so much good for this world! He is on a mission!
Great work putting that together and  for all the patience you have for the animals!
