I know lots of people despise Fox news and it's conservative bent, but one thing they do right is labeling these nuts that blow themselves up in public as "homicide bombers" instead of "suicide bombers".  Fox is the only mainstream news site that I have ever seen use that term, and I personally think it's way more appropriate.  Those people aren't out to kill themselves -- they're out to kill as many other people as possible and are willing to sacrifice their own lives to do it.   I kinda wish more news sources would make the switch.

(Sorry, this was brought on by seeing another headline for one of these horrible tragedies)

I haven't heard that one yet but I don't watch Fox news.  I heard about 30 seconds of the local fox news last night and they made it sound that  the tropical storm in florida was the end of the world.

EVERY news broadcast does that.

I have not watched fox news recently (or much news at all really) but I think that is a great distinction.

Pretty much everyone outside of Florida thinks that these things are the end of the world... LOL  But yeah, it's the news.  If they don't blow things out of proportion, no one will watch, you know...   Roll Eyes

Or they'll be people like me that won't watch the news because of how things are blown out of proportion.  Wink

I just read up on my local news online, and check the weather that way as well.  At least less of my time is taken up if I notice an obvious slant to the story.
