Title: Behavior and cage help!
Post by: Zombinwonderland on April 18, 2008, 10:46:44 PM
I have a couple of questions.

Fist, what type of behavior is considered normal play behavior? Do males try to dominate one another? I have two males who have been together for pretty much all their lives, but just now they started jumping at each other and biting at their necks. I took one of them out, and he was fine but when I tried to put him back in the cage he started to nip at me, which neither of them have done since I got them. I'm worried I may have to separate them. :(

Second question, for those of you who have a ferret nation cage. My fuzzies aren't litter trained yet, so they keep going in the corner of the cage. They're poo gets all over the wall behind them and it gets between the bars of the cage, making it extremely difficult to clean. For anyone who has this problem, how do I make it easier to clean and prevent it from getting onto the walls? I'm going to get a shower curtain to put behind it, which I'm hoping will help a bit.

Thank to anyone who can help!

I'm not sure about the behavior aspect, but, as far as the cage goes, you could get some Plexiglas and wire it onto the cage (on the inside of the corner), to keep the mess contained to the cage, I would think.  If you go to someplace like Lowe's or Home Depot with measurements of what you need, they can cut the pieces to size, and maybe even punch holes in it for you.
