I'm new to this board but have been a rat momma for nearly 10 years now.  My heart breaks whenever they get sick, and I know yours must be also.  I'm so sorry for your little baby boy.   Worry

Boy if these little nekkies could read, their heads would be so big right now! I'm so proud.
They have warmed right up to me, they are already grooming me a little, and love sleeping in my shirt. And they have begun bruxing, too! Yay. They're in quarantine right now, in our air conditioned garage room. Once the QT period is over, I may start introducing them slowly to my 3 man-rats. Blue Dumbo Smile I do have a concern about them being able to slip through the bars of the FF, if/when I put them all together. Hopefully by then they'll be big enough, though.

Oh, and I do not have a scale here at home, I only know how much my ratties weigh when they go to the vet, so I'm not sure of their weight.

So, I adopted this beautiful boy, who has the bum spot of a smeezy and the FAINTEST of tan blazes on his face, cutest dumbo ears, and a crooked tail.  He is incredibly sweet, and shy, now I just need a name for him.  So far for choices we have Gizmo and Stewie.. lol, any suggestions?

Dont be afraid of them being angry with you now, you dont want them to blame you for their habits later in life. If you can get them to change now they will thank you later.

As someone who comes from an overweight family and has had to struggle with weight issues, I have to agree with this. My parents didn't do enough if anything to get me to eat right, and now I have to pay for it. They're doing the same thing with my brother. This 8 year old gets whatever he wants because my dad doesn't want him to feel bad. Well, he's going to be feeling bad when he gets to middle school for sure.

You can't just tell kids what to do and hope they do it. Make them do it. You're in charge of the kitchen and if your husband needs to be taught how to eat healthy too, then make them all do it. I sure wish someone had come into my house and enforced some rules about portions.

I'd like to buy a nebulizer for my rats.  I have a prescription, so I have the option of going to a medical supply store.  I'm not really sure if their nebulizers are better than ones that you can get elsewhere without a prescription but I guess it's good that the option is open.

Anyway, I am wondering what I should look for in a nebulizer.  I have read on the board something about the size of the drops being smaller than 4 microns (or something like that).  Is there anything else I should look for in a nebulizer?
