Just got back from Ontario with new member of the household.

She is a blue fawn pit bull girl, about 1 1/2 yrs old. She was rescued from a New York shelter, after being dumpled by scum-of-the-earth dog fighters because she would not fight.

She is adorable! Her name is Rhonda, which I don't like...any suggestions?

Mirtillo is "blueberry" in Italian.
Dolci is sweets in Italian, and Caramella is just plain sweet.
Itoshigo is beloved dear child in Japanese, and Aiji is beloved child in Japanese.
Poppet is an English endearment that means "little darling".

You may want to just give her a few days & see how her personality is.  She may be lazy, or she may be spazzy, and you might want to name her something in accordance with that.

She sounds beautiful, and I can't wait to see her!  Post some pics when you can!

Great news! I meant to send you a message yesterday and ask, but you know how it is, my memory........

Rhonda (for now) sounds adorable! Have you got any pics yet?

I'm wracking my brain for names but can't think of any yet. I knew a blue-y dog called Jay (for Blue Jay) which is nice, but aside from that my inspiration is at zero at the moment.

I hope Rhonda's very happy with you and settles in well!

I like the name Poppet - it sound mischiveous(sp?), sweet and fun-loving all at the same time!

Howsabout Bella?  I can't help it, I LOVE that name!  Or Joli?  Both belle and joli mean pretty/beautiful in french.  Or Azure?  I know a girl I REALLY dislike named Azure, but it's a pretty name anywho Smiley

Hey!  Azure is neat!

What about Fairuza?  It means turquoise, but I forget which language.  Israeli?  Someone would need to ask Fairuza Balk.  LOL!
