I've always built my animals cages because petstore cages seem to be too small and expensive.  I was planning on building my ferret a new cage within the next month (right now he lives in my bathroom which is ferret proof, well ventelated, and has all of his stuff in it).  I was wondering if anyone here has every built their ferret's cage and if you have any tips for me.  Thanks.

martins sells a really nice ferret cage that is not all that expensive.  they have a website (just google martin's cages).  i'd be worried about building a ferret cage because they can fit out such small spaces, but looking at the martin's site might give you some ideas.
