alright, so david's told me i can add a wolfwood to our trigun pack.  it won't be any time soon, not until after we've figured out what the military is plannin on doing with us (alaska's out, they've decided i'm too crazy), but i definately want a new/bigger cage before we add another (we will be adopting a rescue, i know that much).  after much thought and mind-changing, i'm leaning towards the martin's ferret hotel.  do y'all think it would be enough for three ferrets?  their current cage is too small for even the two of them (i hate it), but the doors are always open as long as i'm home (which is pretty much always), and the new cage would be the same.  i wish there was a ferret cage calculator, like there is for ratties, that would make this so much easier!

The ruling normally is one ferret to one complete full level of the cage.

I've been waiting and saving, and scrimping (I'm only a teen lol.) To get a Martin's cage. And if I were going to recommend one, it wouldn't be the hotel, it's to complicated, and not very safe. I would go with the PVC coated condo, or even better the condo with the barn top. Much safer. I've had people tell me that they've gotten this cage, and end up hating it, because of how choppy it is.   I would seriously recommend the Condo, or the condo with the barn top, if you're going Martin's anyway. And the condo with the barn top is only about $20 more for the PVC coated, rather than the hotel. All I would do then is just cut out remnants of linoleum to cover the floors, and use the two sided sticky velcro strips, and put one side on the actual cage, and one on the back of the linoleum, that way you can just rip them up to clean them, or replace them. =)
