OK, I have two ferrets and recently one has severe hair loss around his neck, sides, tail, and feet. He also has lost dramatic weight and is getting really skinny. I'm getting really worried. He also has these little red dots kind of like mosquito bites.I haven't been able to take him to a vet cause I lost my job recently and don't have the money right now. Can someone please tell me what is wrong with him? He seems to be acting normal and doesn't show that hes in any pain. Is it a parasite problem or is it something much worse? All I know is right now I'm scared of losing him. Any help would be appreciated.

He really needs to be seen by a vet. It could be something as simple as a parasite or allergy, but he could also be going adrenal. Keep him hydrated and well fed, and get him to the vet ASAP.

I agree.  Ferrets go downhill very fast when they're sick and if you wait until they are in really bad condition to take them to the vet, it may very well be too late to save them.
