Ok, so I'm definitely not participating in any more of these exchanges.  This is the second time in a row (and the only two times I have participated) that I have not received a gift from my pal.  I understand things coming up.  I understand that the post office may have made a mistake this time around, but there has been plenty of time to re-send a package if that was the case.  I am a little bit more upset this time, since I went out of my way to volunteer for an international pal.  I figured that since I work for FedEx and receive a discount, it would be less expensive for me to send internationally.  It may have been less expensive, but it was still more expensive than sending a domestic package.

I don't want this to sound like I am complaining about doing something that I volunteered for, because I really did have fun sending my pal her gift.  I had fun picking things out for her and seeing the pictures once she received it.  I'm simply saying that I think I went a little out of my way in this exchange, and I have not received anything in return.  It's not about the material things, honestly, it's just the principle of the thing.  It's simply not fair.  It's not fair to people who truly enjoy participating in these kinds of things, and then the fun gets sucked out of it when you check the mail everyday for a package, and never get one.

Oh, that's too bad.  I know how you feel.  My first experience (last Christmas) was wonderful!  However, this time, I'm kind of bummed for the same reasons as you.  It's the principle of the matter.  I, too, put a fair amount of time and effort into chosing a gift, packaging it, sending it out on time and now this. sad1

There certainly must be someway to solve this problem.

I was under the impression that persons who did not send a gift to their appointed pals would be "outed" and not allowed to participate in the next exchange.

Am I right or wrong?

It does sound like a good idea to "out" the people who didn't send a gift and ban them from future exchanges, so they can't ruin it for future people.
