There is a thread like this in the rat forum and I thought there should be one here!

This is my 4 story ferret home that I bought from the lady who runs the ferret rescue here in our community (F.A.C.T.- Ferret Awareness Club of the Tri-cities TN). She gave me a really good deal on it since 3 of the 4 babies came from her organization. She also let me pay off the debt by coloring and cutting her hair (she's a great lady).

^^This is their humble abode!

^^This is the first floor. Litter box, water bottle/bowl, food bowl, and big blanket for sleeping (they usually just wipe their behinds on it).

^^This is the second and third floors. Another litter box, fleece sweatshirt, t-shirt and blanket covering the ramp.
Third floor has a piece of towel covering the floor with large food crock and water bottle/bowl. Also hammock hanging from the bottom of the 4th floor.

^^ This is the third and fourth floors. The ramp from the 3rd to the 4th is covered with a piece of fleece. The fourth floor has an old lady jacket/sweater thing and a large SuperPet hammock with t-shirts inside.

The bottom 2 floors have linoleum (sp) and I have an old placemat covering the cage door so their little feetsies dont fall through.

I am going to post pics of all my babies in the tails and mugs forum.

Don't forget to post pics of your baby's palaces!!!

Sorry, no ferret pics here. But your little white guy is just too cute!

BTW, it's nice to see someone nearby. I live near Greenevillle.

Her name is Psycho and she was born in October around the 25th (not sure of exact date). She is a deaf black eyed white with a silver stripe and tail. Her eyes look red in the pics but they are black in person. She is a fatty ferret with tons of turbo! We can't stop laughing at her... shes a mess!

I love talking to people in the area! Feel free to message me if you like.

Psycho says thanx for the compliment!

edit to say: She was taking a poop in that one pic! hehehe

Because I am curious -- do ferrets chew at all?

EG: My Ferret Nation plastic pans are pretty chewed and mangled in some spots from the rats... do ferrets do that as well?  Or completely leave the plastic alone.

My ferrets don't chew on things at all. Some ferrets do chew on things but I haven't heard of them chewing on pans in their cage. Mostly the scratch from time to time trying to dig out. But I haven't seen them do that in ages (since I've gotten better at longer daily out times) SO if your ferret gets the out time they need every day they will probably only sleep in their cage (: That's all mine do in theirs.

But my experience with ferrets is they aren't big at chewing on things especially not at parts of their cage. They do like to find things to hide though (: And I did have a play football tore up before which they thoroughly enjoyed doing.

Every ferret is so different it's hard to say no that ferret won't chew on the cage. But I think for the most part ferrets as a whole will not chew on ferret nation pans because I haven't seen anyone complain about it. And I've seen a billion complaints on rats chewing on those.

All of my ferrets chew on things, mostly rubber things, they have never chewed on their pan though. Here is mine I can't wait until I can get the third level. Smiley

My sister's ferrets don't really chew, they nibble on things to see how they feel, but otherwise they don't chew.
