I work for a cartoon studio, and I'm not posting how much I make online.
Good luck with your first job! I didn't get mine until I was 16... and I worked at a Subway shop.

I'm 25 and I work for GMAC. I issue cars out for reposession. Not as bad as one would think, although you do have to become rather cold to deal with the junk these people dish out. You learn A LOT about people. Like for instance how irrisponsible people really are and how much society like to waste money on things. I'm SOOO happy my car has been paid off for the last 4 years.
I like my job even though I'm temporary. I've been there for a year now. I don't want to be perminant. I'm looking to (somehow) get back into the mortgage industry. My goal is to one day be an underwriter, but for now I'm taking what I can get. The job I had before this one was at a Mortgage company and I REALLY loved that one. Best job in the world... until the martet went down the drain... oh well. Things are hard as far as jobs go. I know a lot of people that are w/ out work and can't find work. So I'm happy to at least have a way to pay for my bills.

I run a wildlife hospital.
This is us:

And this is me:
http://www.volunteersforwildlife.org/about/our_staff
Like Keepersplay, you get to learn a lot about people by working with wildlife. Dealing with the public is hard, especially nowadays where everybody is afraid of germs, Avian Flu, West Nile Virus, etc...they all just want the animals out of their yard.
But the animals are fun; I tried to release a baby Great-Horned Owl back to his nest yesterday, but he wouldn't cooperate. He was too young to fly, but too old to go back in his nest. So, he's back with us for another week.
Good luck with your new job! I'm old; mine was in F.W. Woolworth's.
Hee hee, my first job now has a virtual museum! (oh, man!)

I work full time at a bakery/distribution center that services 50 stores in Indiana. I hear we are going to be jumping to 150 stores soon! Personally, I handle all the Smiley-faced sugar cookies from scratch. I also handle frying cake donuts, heading up the packaging conveyor line, making all of our product labels and recently have taken on additional midnight shifts. We do not deal with customers, which is NICE compared to working at Dunkin Donuts which I did for three years. Dealing with whiney coworkers and menacing bosses is the most difficult aspect of the job. Although I get along well with the 8th manager we've had in 3 years I've been there!
Ideally I would like to work in a veterinary clinic, wildlife center, or conservation program but until then this suits me well.

I work as a relay operator (my ip relay) for people who are deaf/hard of hearing. Mostly it's little kids prank calling their friends. I'm getting laid off as of July 8th, but I must admit I HATE MY JOB.
Just trying to make it through until my last day so I can get my severance payment.
Then I'll spend the summer doing some art.

I work at The Running Room, a specialty running store where we sell running gear, do assessments for shoes, and run clinics to teach and train people in all levels of running. I work in the retail part and coach clinics as well. I'm also a full time student but, if I could make a living at my job, I'm convinced I would drop out tomorrow. Running is my passion and I love my job with all of my heart. I don't think I'll ever leave, and will always keep at least one shift a week there, even when I do eventually finish school and go into my career. My eventual goal is to work in provincial fisheries policy.

Well, since I'm only 12,you could say I have a home job. I babysit my little sister, and take care of my pets,my mom considers that a job. I'm gonna see if I can babysit my neighbor's kid this summer, and maybe do things like dog-walking,things like that.

I work full-time in a daycare during summer/breaks. Mostly in the infant room
I don't have a job at school yet, but I want one next year.
I started babysitting before I was 12, but I got my first "real" job when I was 16- I was a hostess!

I've been a stay-at-home mom for the last 20 years. Before that, I was an office administrator with Hughes, working with software developers. I've got my degree in Recreation Administration, but grew very tired of working nights, weekends and holidays during my early years of marriage. My very first job, besides babysitting and corn detassling in NE, was at Taco Bell.

I'm a secretary for the IRS. I have 10 offices with 47 employees. I do TONS of filing, payroll, order supplies, handle all of our mail and UPS, I make sure our copiers are serviced when they break, I have tons of monthly reports (testing duress alarms and making sure the other offices do their tests) reporting postage used, get to yell at people when they use incorrect postage or UPS services. I love my job!

I'm an environmental engineer. I work for a consulting firm and we work with cities to design new or replacement water and sewer infrastructure.
My first job was working as a banquet waitress at the local university. Then I cleaned homes. I also worked in an ice cream/sandwich shop - all this was during high school. During the summers in college I drove 200 ton trucks in an open pit mine.

Right now I am on FMLA taking maternity leave and I get to play with my almost 5 week old
In July I will be going back to work for the State as a Forest Ranger. I fight wildfires, regulate the timber industry, and am a unarmed law enforcement officer enforcing all the burn/tree/trespass laws in the state. I love my job, hence why I am going back. Oh, and I get to play with kiddos pre-k through 3rd grade with Smokey Bear and I also do career days for all ages of kids.
Prior I have taught HS Biology/forensics, worked stage crew/tech crew through college - my area was lighting and climbing light trees to focus for concerts. In HS I was WSI certified lifeguard and have run and worked at various indoor/outdoor pools teaching classes and lifeguarding. I also did everything from work at Burger King to be a legal assistant taking notes during legislative sessions for a local lawyer. In Middle School I had a paper route and started the whole babysitting/housesitting/lawncare thing.

I clean schools for minimum wage. You guys all have perfect jobs compared to what I do. I'd even love to be a relay op even if I had to deal with kids using it for fun (should be a pay service if you ask me). I have a degree in sociology, but I've not got anything to do with it as of yet.

Mostly I'm a college student, but I work at Petco part time. I don't like dealing with a lot of the customers, but it's nice to hang out with different types of animals all day. I just applied for an internship with the police department, so hopefully I'll be doing that soon instead.
I got my first job a month after I turned 14, waiting tables in a nursing home.

My first job was a dog bather at PetSmart. My second job was at Subway.
I now work in a growing company that handles souveniers. We send to major hotels, airports, Disney Land, zoo's, ect. I just got a promotion this week to be a supervisor in our new building...which we needed badly! That means a raise...too

I'm almost 17 with no job. I honestly don't think I could handle juggling school and a job, and I've decided my grades are more important, especially since I don't have any need for the money at this point.
I applied at Petsmart about a week ago but I don't
really
want to work there... so if they never call me, they never call. I don't care too much to pursue it.

Oh, my daughter is 17 and she's a lifeguard and swim instructor. It's her 5th year now, but the first two were volunteer, so it's her 3rd paid summer.
School was over this week, so today is the first day the pools are open, thus her first day back on the job. She's also just recently got her drivers license, so she can FINALLY drive herself to work!!

I'm an instructor at a large metropolitan college. When I was in college, I supported myself by working as a hotel desk clerk. Talk about learning a lot about people! I also did the corporate thing in market research for a while, but I realized quite quickly that teaching is what I really love.

Ok, it's a mouthful- ready? I'm the administrative assistant to the director of grants and sponsored programs at Alliant University. Basically, I'm the assistant to the person who runs the grants and sponsored programs. I find funding opportunities, keep track of everyone's information, work with grant writers, and do whatever she doesn't have time to do. I love the job. Soon I'll be a full time employee and working in an office right next to my fiance.
My first job was working at Claire's. Yep, that overpriced jewelry store at the mall. After that, I worked at a medical equipment delivery company. After that, I worked at Vitas Hospice for 3 years. I'm soooo glad to be out of customer service and out of the hospice business.
