Does anyone else play RockBand?

Wow, we just got this yesterday, and it's like finding a new drug...

I'm the vocalist in our family band, my son plays bass or drums, and our housemate is on guitar (my husband is WAY too sophisticated to join our dorky ranks...) and what a BLAST!  There's something immensely satisfying about shredding a really smokin' tune with your kid, and having him go    "wow, mom...you ROCK!!" We played last night, this afternoon, and after fireworks, mostly into the night.  I'm even working on my solo career!

The music is great, I adore my rock pesona character, and I'm definitely learning my personal vocal range (there are like two songs I just cannot sing, no matter what, and I bomb every time.).  Anyone else having fun with this?

I do!  I play either the bass or drums.  I tried guitar and theres no way...it's too fast for my brain.

We throw Rock Band/Karaoke parties at our place.

Her girlfriend owns it.
My other friend owns it.
My parent's friends own it.
It's insane.
We're constantly playing.
It's a total blast.
I'm pretty multitalented.
But prefer drums or vocal.

i also love that game, my bro and sis were also really into it. my parents were only kinda into it. but it's so fun and addictive.

We love rockband!! I usually sing or move around on any of the instruments. Our bands name is Millideth  Our friends are all too broke to buy it, so we usually host the rockband parties. My husband's sister even got him this huge bag to carry all the instruments in because we take over to their house a lot.

It's fun, but too easy compared to GH.  But then again, I find most of GH too easy to play much.

Tho', these are the only video games I play because they are the only ones I can follow along

I totally play with the kids too! Hubby was always against guitar hero, but we sucked him into rock band....heehee. I honestly did not think I would like it, but I love to sing! It gives me a reason to sing out loud! lol! The songs are o.k. on it, I wish there were better ones we could download. Like I said before, I sing on it, but I have started playing bass or guitar. As long as the guitar is set to easy! Its such a great family game! I made our band name   Underground Pod People   its one we used in highschool, though we never had a real band in school.

I've been really busy since I posted this, with the holiday weekend, (and our 10th anniversary) and all, but it's so cool to see so many people playing it.  My all time favorite songs to sing, so far are Gimme Shelter, Maps, and the Garbage song, I Think I'm Paranoid.  I cannot, not, not, -as in when we were playing as a band they had to save me 3 times to get through it, sing that damn Clash song.  I'm finding songs that I don't much like are actually a lot of fun to sing.

I can see us having all sorts of parties with this, we were even scheming on bringing our spare TV outside on the cart, so we could play outside, while we're barbequing.

So, what are some of your favorite songs?

I love maps! I even downloaded it and its now on my ipod..lol. the kids love the chile peppers, danni california, and I have always lived the song creep. Radiohead rox! Im hoping with rockband 2 there will be newer rock songs, I like the older classic rock, but they have such great songs that they totally left out. I wish they would let us download any song we wanted. Id pay any amount to get some L7 or godsmack, even Live would be great!

I'd be happy if they'd simply get some more female songs.  I'm decent enough at any of them, but of course any guy I play against has an advantage because of the male/female song ratio.  :/

You should have seen me trying to sing a Johnny Cash song at a friend's place one night when we put Karaoke Revolution on random...  (which we do for every final round.) 

If it were Ring of Fire, I could have got it...  but I can't hit the low notes in Walk the Line to save my life!

I don't have rockband, and I have never played it, but I have guitar hero for my Wii! Its awesome and addictive.

We have RockBand and it is an absolute blast!  So much fun for several people to participate in at once...I'm the drummer!
