I made some bird bread for my birds a few days ago, from a prepackaged mix that I got. (This brand: http://www.mommabird.com/)

It's basically cornbread with freeze dried fruits/veggies, some seed and quinoa, plus water, eggs with shell, and oil.

When I give fresh food, I make dishes for the rats and birds at the same time, so I've been giving Oliver and Finley the bird bread too.

My birds are crazy-picky, and don't touch it, but the rats LOVE it! I know the seed isn't so great for them, but there isn't a ton in the mix. I give them each a square and they run off to eat it in their favorite spots (Finley's is the litter box  ). Next time I make it (probably homemade if I do it again), I will be adding a lot more fruits and veggies, baby food, and other healthy things.
