the rat with the white face and the black body kind of creeps me out for some reason... he reminds me of a skeleton ... but definitely cool markings!

I think my Ceej is the most unusual rattie ever.  He is a patchwork.  He constantly changes!

Our first meeting:

Picture by Audra... See all her pictures: http://www.flickr.com/photos/braindamaged217/

Changing all the time:

Four months old:

Ceej is only four months old now but look how much he's changed!

Nope, that picture came from the website of a rat breeder in England.  I thought he looked like a mouse too but why would a person trying to sell rats try and pass off a mouse as a rat?

What page did that come from? I don't think I've ever mistook a mouse for a rat before and I would be SHOCKED if that was a rat...

Maybe they're mistaken/couldn't find a photo of what they were trying to use/used the wrong photo/are trying to pass off that mouse as a rat because it's unusual looking, but that's no rat.. I'm 100% positive it's a meecer.

Wow... I'm totally in love with the little critter that Popcorn showed!  Here's one of my favorite pictures of Riff.  I kinda like the way his markings are on his head.  Smiley

This guy here

Is most definitely a mouse. This particular marking (called "Hereford") is a newly recognized mouse marking.

WOW you're rattie is amazing! I've never seen a patchwork change like that. My double rex always had the same fur, but I only owned him as an adult, so maybe it's a young rat thing?

The properties on that picture suggest rat, but that's definately a mouse. I've never seen such a good quality hereford though. I almost want to say its not a real picture.

I always though that my old rescue girl Saffi's rusting pattern that made her look like a wannabe hoodie was really interesting.

That coloring and pattern is GORGEOUS

I'd have to say Alanya, hands down.  That links to her slide show.  I've met her in person, and she's just as pretty!

my most interesting rat is pearl. i don't know what her markings are considered, i guess she is black but she looks more of a dark gray graphite color and she has one black, one dark ruby eye. :

the coolest looking rat i have seen on  the fourm is that one rat named Elenore.

Alanya from jellybeanhood onwards!  Heart

ALL of these rats are gorgeous!    -- What marking is KOKO?  Is that a broken cap?  She's just stunning!  Like yin/yang.

I agree, Alanya is beautiful.  She looks just like my Elektra, but the coloring is a bit different.  The faces are what get me though lol
