I was wondering if anyone has martins collapsible travel cages. I'm wondering just how sturdy they are. I have a random weird collapsible cage now that I usually use for post-op recovery but it's kind of wobbly. I"m looking for travel cages for my rats for our up coming move from Los Angeles to Houston. We're going to treat our move as a road trip and do some sightseeing so it's going to be like a 3-4 day ordeal, so the cages have to be pretty solid. I don't want it shaking and wobbling, you know?

I'm particularly interested in the CC-3018 but if it's collapsible, how is that balcony attached and how secure it is?

I didn't know that Martins had collapsable cages; that would be wonderful. I'll have to go to their site and check it out. Thanks!

I have had two of the 3018 Large Ferret Carriers. The first one I got as it comes (1 inch x 1 inch PVC coated) and a second that I ordered made of powder coated rat sized wire.   They are pretty sturdy.
The PVC one was home to a pair of rats for over a year.  Alas they chewed off a lot of the coating and I decided to toss it when they passed.  The powder coated rat sized wire one is immaculate after almost a year, but it is only my baby cage/senior cage.  I love how I can just keep it under my bed when I don't need it. Since it is fully assembled I just have to unfold it and zip tie (cable tie) the shelf on.
I have no reservations about recommending this to anyone with just a pair of rats or as a baby/senior/sick/QT cage.
