Saturday My husband and I are taking 2 of our boys, ages 10 and 11 to GA to visit family. We want to do some fun things with them while we are there, but I am clueless as to what is really there. Neither of them like amusement parks, so Six Flags is out. We are planning on taking them to the Coca Cola Factory, Stone Mountain, and one of them wants to go see the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial. Both of my boys are a little on the "nerdy" side, so anything they can do/see that is history based, or they are learning things really appeals to them. I know that people who live in an area typical know more about the non touristy things that are pretty cool but not as well know, so I am hoping someone out there might have some ideas for us. We will be around the Atlanta area, mostly in Conyers. Thanks for any suggestions anyone might have!

I second the idea of the aquarium. I have been there myself and it was an amazing expierience. It also has a lot of fun interactive stuff for kids such as play areas and a 3d movie that teaches them about recycling and keeping the oceans clean. I am 17 and i enjoyed every bit of it!  Grin  The animals there are also amazing to see, such as the whale sharks and beluga whales. It is a truly remarkable place!
