I have a girl that has bubmle foot and i was putting it on her with a qtip and put the qtip down and my boy Ludo runs away with it. Now his tongue is purple.

Is it harmful for him to have it in his mouth? I'm really worried that he'll get sick.
What should i do?

I second calling your vet. I don't see how it could be toxic, as an animal can easily lick it off, so you'd think they'd make it safe. But still, calling the vet is your best bet.

I'm not sure if he will get sick but Blu-Kote is definitely and irritant to tissue. I did a quick Google search for Blu-Kote toxicity but it didn't turn up anything major. I'd keep and eye on him and call your vet tomorrow morning just to check.

Ludo's fine.
The vet said he'd be ok.

i'm glad ludo's ok!  you know, for those times that they get into stuff, you might consider calling poison control. yep, poison control.  i've called them when my dog ate ant bait, when my horse decided that fly strips looked yummy.  they've always been helpful and they have msds on almost everything.

huh...i would have never thought to call poison control. I'll keep that in mind, just incase they decide to be very very bad ratties.
