We're looking for a few proud rat owners who are looking to adopt some of our baby rats. One of our adult rats gave birth to nine baby rats, five of them are female.

We've been raising them for the past few months (and their parents for the past six months).

We're also giving away free cages (size depending on how many you adopt). Also, we want to give them away in pairs (at least).

Contact me if you're interested in adopting our female baby rats. We also have four male babies, but each pair comes with one adult rat with whom they've grown up with.

I was called by my work a day ago and asked if I wanted a new rat.  My girls are too old & I don't want to stress them now, so I said no.  I told her I would help her look though.  Supposedly she is a 2 year old female.  She is in good health from what I have been told.  She is white w/brown markings (unsure what kind).  They are afraid their JRT will kill her.  They have had her since she was a baby.

Any help would be great.

Thanks, Pie. I signed.

I understand that the government needs to charge taxes in order to be able to run things. But to charge MORE taxes on necessities is just not cool.

I'm one of those that cringe when I see a "new school tax" on the break-down of my taxes. I have not had a child that would end up clogging the school system. I do not attend that school.  I do not feel I should have to pay for something I will personally never use.

Thanks for the advice and now that I think about it the whole upside down thing is kinda funny, even though it will be at least a week before I can lagh about it. As for the locks yuo said you only used two? I thought of that but it leaves a gap and if the girlies were motivated enough (which they are!!!!) they could slip out through the crack. Mabye i'm just imagining things or flattering the girls on their cleverness and slenderness Yellow Cute Laugh Hopefully the locks will get easier to open but since I have the R695 I tooo have to undo the four locks and I know this makes me sound lazy and impatient but that just seems like a lot of work! But again, I try to thimk positively Yellow Cute Laugh I just can't wait until the girls are moved in and I can quite worrying about getting the danged thing put together!

$2.05 is the best I've seen, but I haven't checked Costco for at least a week.  My tank is just under 1/2 full, so I'm waiting until Monday or Tuesday to fill up!

And so now all of ONE DAY LATER, I filled up at Costco today for $1.89!!  NICE!!

Aww I'm sorry you're having such a difficult time! Funny about the front being upside down, though. That seems to happen to people a lot! The locks do seem a bit cumbersome in the beginning. I know on my 695 I have four locks on each door, but I only use the two on the right hand side. They take a little bit to 'break in', like a new pair of shoes Wink. I use my top door a lot more frequently than the bottom, so the bottom locks are still kinda 'new/not broken in' yet and that gives me occasional difficulty. Not much, though!

Take a deeep breath. Focus. It'll all work out Smiley

Oh and if you grow to despise those locks, they do make some other types of spring latches. Search around different cage equipment sites like klubertanz.com and you'll see what I'm talking about.
