First, the girl mice.  This bin cage is holding 5 girls.

This is a male mouse cage, housing one (Fat Elvis.)

This is another single male mouse cage, housing a rexy boy named Carlton.

I plan to put sleep sacks on both sides of the top level to completely cover that wire.

Fat Elvis is just like a little squishy rat.  All he ever does is run in the wheel or sleep in the hammock.

I did make the popsicle stick houses....it's become a bad addiction  Yellow Cute Laugh

Most of my mice are very interactive.  They spook much easier than rats and are more flightly, but some will even brux in my hand and hang out on my lap.   Heart

Wow, those popsicle stick fortresses are pretty elaborate! I was so upset when I found out my mom threw away our box of popsicle sticks, I'd really like to make some things like that for my mice. What's that red thing with the clear lid? Some sort of climby/burrowy toy? It looks like it'd be a lot of fun. Also, what's the spacing on the wire on your boys' cages? I've got a cage that's got wire that looks to be about that spacing, but I was afraid to put my boy in it for fear he'd squeeze out. I'd love to be able to use it though. Great setups, looks like a lot of fun =3

Thank you!  The pop sicle stick houses are a blast to make, and even more fun to watch the mice enjoy them  I got the idea from the Fun Mouse forum.

The red thing with the clear lid is a "castle" from PetsMart.  I believe it's made by Super Pet, but could be wrong.  It's really big and I've been putting fleece scraps in the top, so now all the girls snuggle in there and sleep (on the top, so I can see them.)  It was only $5 something, amazing product for the price.

The bar spacing on the cages are under 1/2", I just don't remember the exact measurement.  If you look up the All Living Things My First Home for Mice kit and cage on petsmart.com it should have all the specs on it.  I know both wire cages have the same bar spacing.

Okay, thanks! I've got to go back to Petsmart this weekend to pick up a water bottle that I paid for but left at the store last time, so I'll look for one of those castles while I'm at it.
