Hedgie Housing questions
«
on:

We are in the process of adopting two baby hedgies. I know plenty about rat housing, but wanted to get some opinions. The breeder recommends Marchioro (sp.) cages, which I know are European and there are some rat owners who prefer this brand, but are there any other options?

Marchioros are good. I use one for my rats. Are you planning to house the hedgies together? They're more solo pets than social. We have a homemade cage made from neat idea cubes.
Some hedgies will climb, this girl does not, so we're not worried about her getting out.

I also use a C & C cage for my hedgehog. It is just a basic 3 cubes long x 2 cubes wide.
