Ok, I don't know if anyone here knows much about bettas, but mine is sick and has been for some time. It all started with a little bit of fungus on her face.  I tried to treat with aquarium salt, anti-fungal and anti-bacterial agents. By the next week it had spread to her body about half way down and her lips had started to dissolve. I removed her to a different tank with new and fresh water. I treated with a new and stronger anti-fungal. Today she has developed major popeye. If anyone has seen this before and/or has a suggestion about what I can do, I would appreciate it. I don't want her to die! :-(

The most important thing with any betta illness is usually to increase the tmeperature to 80-82 degrees and to keep the water very very clean. Another thing that helps is lowering the water level so that less energy is used in simply swimming up to get air. Other than the meds you have already tried I don't know what else you could try, but I reccomend checking out fishforums.net. It has a betta section and they are incredibly helpful. Thy have helped me save quite a few bettas. Sorry thats all i have to offer. Good luck!

Honestly I found www.ultimatebettas.com to be more informed as the whole forum is dedicated to bettas and there seems to be more expert advice. Wink I hope your betta is alright =(
