I've been seeing those dragon eggs and stuff in everyone's signature and when I click on "get your own!" it always says there aren't any.

Are there any specific times when they are available? Lol sorry, random I know, but its important!  ;)

You need to get an account to get the dragons. The site keeps a list of all the dragons you collect, and you have to log in to get to it all and such.

Rawr.. I found no eggs, but I registered anyways.. then one time there was an egg! But it told me I had to register, and didn't give me the option to log in  :( 

Anyhow, I lost the egg. (Damn I just lost the game! - see new game thread).
It was green and was supposedly abandoned in a pile in the cave. 

Yay, I got two. Lol a gray and a white... wow so plain, but maybe they will be awesome since they are plain now.
Basically I opened multiple Tabs and loaded the site a buncha times. I must've clicked like, 5 eggs that were taken before my two.

You probably pressed enter before entering each new code - just make the beginning and end of each code side-by-side with no spaces and without pressing enter. That should work. :)

All right, I got one. I actually looked at the fourm (can't sleep, heh) and it seems that you only get one click per person. I guess that explains why I'd click on other people's and it wouldn't increase each time.

Okay, so I broke down and got one, too!  Mine looks like a little rock...  hehe

If you have eggs they do not show up.  I think it is if you use firefox it crops signatures at the size limit that RR has set up.  No eggs at all show in your signature.

italianqt, all I see are pictures of your two rats and the type above it.  That's it.  So yeah, your pictures are too tall.  According to the rules, no signature is supposed to be larger (height OR width) than what I've got for mine.   Thanks!

I notice a lot of our forum peoples' eggs are cracking! How exciting ^^  I've been sort of researching on the forum for the dragon eggs, looking at which ones pop out of which eggs...  There sure are a lot of them!

There are a couple people here on the forum who have really rare ones also =) The half and half one and the paper one seem to be really rare.  Apparently when they grow up, you can breed the female dragons and have eggs of your own to abandon in the cave for other people to adopt.  I'm not sure I really approve of the message that puts out, but I think it's neat to see all the things people use the internet for these days.

I just logged in, and discovered that someone had abandoned a poor little dragon egg!!  So, I rescued it.  Now, I'm a dragon rescue.  Who knew?  So, the little white egg in my sig is the poor abandoned one.  Help me save it!

Another question..

When I went to adopt another one, I clicked on it and it took me to a registering page, not a log-in page, so I couldn't adopt another one without creating another account. How do you log in?

If you go to the cave entrance, there should be the word "scroll" underlined. Either it will take you to your account or have you log in.. if I'm correct.

You just need to replace the bigger code with the smaller one, that's all.  :)  I just did it for mine.  If you go to your "scroll", you can view each egg, and there's a "get code" link there that has all the codes for your current dragons.

Guys, can i just warn you about something? If you get too many clicks on the first day that you get your eggs you can infact kill them? You sort of want to get a couple of clicks on the first day and then after day 2 or 3 then shove them everywhere and go clicking mad-i dont want to see them die as my first egg died due to over clicking on day one.

The eggs hatch into hatchlings-they also need clicks to help them grow up into dault dragons

Do you have a slow Internet connection? Exit out any other programs or pages before trying to click one and see if that helps. Sometimes when you go to get one, at the top it will say something about eggs near the front of the cave entrance and those don't get taken as fast.

I have just realised that its a bad thing to go back to the site on the hour to see what eggs are around, when you already have 4 eggs. I saw a few of the cooler looking ones (a metalic one, purple one, a half and half colour one pluss one with the flwers growing around it) and couldnt get any of them  :'( Im going to stick with having the 3 so if i see a really cool one i have room to grab it. Also how does it work that you can have a diferant amount of Unique Hits than the clicks is? I thought that those two counters would be the same, seeing as the way to view the egg is to click on it right?

'Views, Unique Views, and Clicks are statistics that determine if your egg will hatch and if your hatchling will grow. Views are accumulated every time someone views your egg/hatchling/adult. Unique Views are obtained in the same way, except only one unique view is given per egg per person. A "click" occurs when someone clicks on your egg in your signature or wherever you place it. As with Unique Views, clicks are only given once per person.

Your clicks, views, unique views, and the amount of time that has passed since the dragon last changed stages are variables in a mathematical function that produces a fictional 'score' for your dragon. An egg's 'score' must reach a certain amount before it will hatch, and a hatchling's 'score' must reach an even higher amount before it will mature'-From the dragon forums

FINE!! Fine fine fine.  I HAD to go look and there was an abandoned egg.  I was guilted into taking it or it could have DIED!! Eggs touched by humans are rejected by the momma dragon.  So, I have 2 days to make my LIME GREEN (one of my FAVORITE colors) egg hatch.   AND it also says that the shell is soft, as if something is wrong with it.   Yep, a true rescue that probably needs TLC and maybe some baytril.   :yelcutelaugh:

lol! we are going to have a fourm full of dragons! i wish i could figure out how it worked, i would make a rat equivalent!   start out with a momma belly you have to rub(clicks) then you get a cute little pinky which you have to grow into a rat!

Umm, dunno if this is a consistent thing or just with my connection but everyone whose egg is using a tinyurl link.....often when I click, the connection times out and it fails to register.  Is it just because of the amount of time between the forwarding to the actual link?  I don't know but if you're using tinyurl for your eggs and aren't getting enough clicks, this could be why.  Sorry guys, I'm trying to help your babies get hatched but they just aren't working....

I'm pretty sure I've clicked every egg in existence the last few days, probably some several times.  This seems like a fun sort of game, I'll watch everyone else's babies grow because I'm not so certain I'd be a good dragon mommy.  And I don't know how my landlord would feel about the house being scorched round the edges hehe.

What is a Unique view and how does one do it? 

I'm becoming too obsessed with these darn eggs, but I need to be a good dragon owner/mommy!  I hope there are enough dragon vets in the land.  ;)

Anytime someone views your egg it get counted as a view, but you can only have one unique view per person. So basically 69 individuals have viewed your egg.

Now, I get confused with the click count. You are suppose to only get one click per person also, but wouldn't this mean that your clicks and unique views would be the same? If someone views my egg by clicking on it, shouldn't that count for both?? But there are always was less clicks than views.. :icon_scratch:

View your scroll and click on "get code" and copy/paste the one for signatures in your siggy.

Her's was abandoned, so it was already a few days old when she got it.

Mom o 4 isn't from the dragon forum, she's my sister and I finally convinced her to join. She has a bazillion animals (two legged and four legged)

When it says that you expect to find some eggs, but there aren't any, it will say there are some abandoned by the cave door, and you click that spot.

Edit: Ok.. I played around, I guess it has to be a name not taken yet. I took a shot in the dark about a name that wouldn't be taken, and I was right. So my white dragon has kinda a weird name lol. I guess it works.

Ooookay.. my kids are now sucked into the madness ^^  I have a question about how the clicks work if anyone knows...  Apparently when someone opens a page, all the eggs in the sigs of the people who've posted on that thread get some sort of view counter, right?

The kids are all active on neopets, so how do (or can you) get clicks via Neopets?  Someone posted about getting thousands of clicks via Neopets.. but as far as I can see the neopets code that they have on the dragon website doesn't actually do anything for the click counter, since you can't imbed clicky pages in your Neopets signature/lookup thing with links to non-neopets webpages.

I'm sorry I'm such a computer doofus... ^^

I think (not sure) when you click on the scroll page which lists all the individual eggs/dragons, there's a link that says 'view'... but as far as I can tell, just going to the page gives a hit and unique view, but not a click.  If you click the 'view' button, it gives a click.

I'm not sure... and I'm even loopier than usual because I had to break down and take some dayquil caps which, despite what they'd have us believe, knock me sideways into zombieland for about 24 hours...

Someone who's more computer savvy than I am (about 99.5% of the planet  ;D ) should be able to explain it in words I can comprehend in my zombiefied state sometime I hope (*brainnnnnsssss*)

Annie, I don't quite understand how it works either, but I've tried your idea about viewing.  I can't tell if there's been more clicks.  The first one had 3 clicks, and the others all had 2 clicks.

Pie, from what I'm reading on the Dragon Forum (yes, I got sucked in  :doh: ), it's not the total number of clicks, etc. that matters, but the ratio of clicks, unique views, and whatnot.  So your foster egg (cute thing), may hatch even though it's not getting a lot of clicks and such, as long as it stays in the right ratio.

Ok I knew nothing about these dragon eggs, and I'm at work and the firewall doesn't allow the dragon site so I can't see any of the eggs or dragons. Yet I just read through NINE pages of people basically saying "oh how cute! Please click!" and I have no idea what they even look like! Talk about CRAZY! :shocked2:

And I'm coming back to the thread as soon as I get home so I can finally SEE what these eggs/dragon thingies are. Wow these things are addicting (even when you don't see them!)  :eek:

It is really frustrating when it's so slow that it times out, though.  It takes MUCH longer to give everybody their clickies that way.  :(

The only problem you'll run into is that you'll have to make room in your signature for you new eggs!  Trust me, you won't be able to resist.

NOTE: When the pages time out, I have been clicking the "back" button, and then go "forward" button again, and the page that had timed out is all loaded up!

I think that if you use tabs and to the right-click, open in new tab, it doesn't count as a click, but as a view.  I'm not certain on that, though...

According to the dragon forum...er, I mean...according to what I've heard (whew! Nice recovery!), you get one click per person, but it doesn't say one click per person and that's it, or one click per person per day.  Does anyone know?

I hope it's per day!  That would be an awful lot of wasted clicks :(
