Oh my god. If I was close I would help... This is horrible. I believe 15 of the rabbits there came from my local humane society, they were only driven up to the sanctuary 6 weeks or so ago...

What sort of supplies are they needing?  I'm driving up to MI almost every weekend between now and the middle of March.  If we could get some supplies together I would be more than happy to drive them up there.

EARPS could put something in their newsletter and maybe do a fundraiser.

I emailed that shelter and this is what they said...

Kristy,

Thank you for your offer to help us out!  The situation was not quite as terrible as Best Friends may have made it sound, but in any case, the bunnies have already been moved to their new yard and the barn renovations are almost complete.  See my comments at http://network.bestfriends.org/rapidresponse/news/11020.html  Building an entirely new yard and putting electricity in this alternate barn, and the construction done to make it habitable for the rabbits, is costing us several thousand dollars, which we are just putting on our credit card.  So while we don't need any items donated, we are in need of cash donations to help pay for the new facility.  Anyone interested can make donations through our website; the address is below.  Thank you again and let me know if you have more questions!
