Can you give bunnies baths?

I know like on a chincilla you can't because of their coats, they have to have strictly dirt baths and that's it. But like on rats you can give them a bath during the warmer months so that they won't catch a cold and of course dry the babies off well and have them snuggled up in a nice warm towel.

But can you do this for rabbits?  Will it mess up their fur or anything?

You can give them a bath if necessary, but it's not really recommended.  Rabbits are like cats -- they bathe themselves constantly.  Unless your bunny gets into something he shouldn't it's best not to bathe him.  Check out this link for details, and if you do decide to bathe your bun, be very careful and very thorough about drying.

Thank you for the information.  That is what I was figuring, but I wanted to double check. Smiley
