Hey everyone!  I want to share my excitement over my bunnies.  I love them so much, rabbits are the most amazing creatures.  I never want to be without a bunny again.  I'm a complete animal freak, but bunnies are incredibly special to me.  We got Rory back in October, and dear little Tallulah joined us at the beginning of January.  Last week we decided to add one last bunny to the family.  He should be joining us in April sometime and I'm SO excited.  I'm still trying to think of a name for him and am enjoying gathering the supplies to build him a NIC cage and everything.  Here are my bunnos, so hard to pick just 6 photos!

The super handsome Rory:

Rory and Tallulah hanging out.  Tallulah loves Rory, but he does not feel the same way.  She's only 4 months old, so after she's spayed and has time to recover in a couple months, I'm going to try starting to bond either the two of them or Tallulah and the new bunny.  I would love to form a trio!

Lulu's Valentine photo, she won two photo contests:

8 week old Tallulah showing her deep disapproval of being caged:

My new baby when he was a little baby!

Him a week ago:

I could gush about them indefinitely.  I feel so blessed to have such sweet rabbits!

Awww!!!  How sweet that Tallulah lays by Rory's cage like a love-sick puppy!!  And the pic of her being unhappy in her cage just cracked me up!  I know NOTHING about rabbits, so does the one ear up and the other down mean dissatisfaction?  She's even got a smirk on her face!! hehehe

Dearpie, the one ear up and one ear down is just how her ears are...  Both of them have very talented ears and can hold them up or down as they please.  It's so cute!  I don't think it really has anything to do with happiness.  I submitted that photo to Disapproving Rabbits in January and they featured her as the disapproving bunny of the day in February!  I think it's so funny, she looks like she's smirking and rolling her eyes.  It's hard to see in the picture, but she also has water on her chest from drinking out of the food bowl.

She really is quite an approving and happy little bun though, loves to follow me around, be petted and kissed and held, jump on and off things, get into things, sprawl by Rory's cage...  I think she will like the new bunny, he is supposedly also very sweet and loves other bunnies.  The only issue will be that when he gets here, she will still be too young to be spayed (she's had some health issues and is rather small for her age and my vet and I want to wait at least 3 more months) and he will be about 4 months old.  I can neuter him ASAP since hopefully his testicles will have descended, but they can impregnate a female for a couple months after being neutered, so I'm not sure what we'll do.

Anyway, now that I know you've updated the number of pictures, here are more!  I have SO many pictures of them, I usually take several every day.  A couple days ago I bought a nice scrapbook, lots of fancy papers and stickers and stuff and have been making them a scrapbook!

Rory doing his Disapproving Rabbit look, I intend to submit this one as well and maybe they'll post it:

I'm happy to say that Tallulah went to the vet today and got antibiotics for her chronic runny nose and Revolution for her mites!  Rory got Revolution, too.  This is the third time I've taken her to the vet (a different one each time), and finally we got the GOOD vet (I insisted on it, I thought the last vet was going to be our regular one but it turned out to be someone else who wasn't very knowledgeable about bunnies) who actually diagnosed her problems and is giving treatment.  When we went 3 weeks ago, the vet said her runny nose was because the air is so dry and her flaky skin was because of the dryness too.  Wrong!  Angry  The first vet said the runny nose was caused by dry air too, so I believed them since she has never sneezed or wheezed, but when it didn't go away with a mistifier and the warmer weather, I wanted to take her back to the vet.  I also suspected she had mites and NOT just dry skin.  Now she's being treated for both and soon she should be all better!

In other news, we decided to name the new bunny Maddox Acorn.  He should be arriving on April 13th, providing the mites are under control by then!

Tomorrow I'm taking Easter pictures of Rory and Tallulah, where should I post the pictures?  I've already reached my limit in this thread but I want to share them... Should I go back and delete the other pictures I posted?

Hi Eileen!  I'm glad you like the pictures!  I just set them in the bowl like that and they stay.  I have laid back bunnies who like being handled!  My other rabbit that I had years ago was the same way.  I can tell how they're feeling and they don't mind sitting like that.  I'm sure they wouldn't like it after a few minutes though. Rory, Tallulah and Cinnabun (my old bunny) all lie on their backs on my lap without me having to have a hand on them and will close their eyes and relax.  And no, they aren't tranced.  Clipping their nails is REALLY easy!

I think I've been lucky because all my bunnies are/were (in Cinny's case) very affectionate and liked being touched and petted.  The new bunny, Maddox, is the same way according to his breeder.  I didn't go out of my way to pick really people oriented bunnies, my brother chose Cinnabun and he was the only rabbit at the pet store.  I decided to get Rory when I saw his picture on Petfinder, and the description just said he was shy.  Tallulah was the last bunny in her litter that needed a home, and I'd decided to get her before meeting her as well.

My little Tallulah girl died today.  I am devastated.  I miss her so much already.  Why do bunnies have to be so delicate?
