So, Spike is the english angora rabbit I adopted. No clue on age, but he's pretty active, so I assume he's young. (Probably a year or so?) And he's a sweet guy, but he makes me a bit sad, as he clearly wasn't very loved-on wherever he was before our house. He loves to be near me, but does not like being petted. You can pick him up easily, though. (It's just hard to brush or pet him without him running away. :/)
Usually, we keep him in our bedroom as it's bunny proof. So he gets the run of it while we're home and if we're not, or can't give him a lot of attention, we have a playpen for him that's a bit smaller and safer. (Well, just means he doesn't have full access to the room.) The other afternoon, he was in the playpen. I layed down intending to take a nap. Usually when he sees me and wants out of his playpen, he stomps. Well, I hear a loud thud, and I assumed he had stomped. Then a few seconds later, I feel something on the bed. (It's a low bed.) I assumed a cat had pushed the door open and snuck in, but I look down, and it's Spike climbing on my back. Puzzled, I pick him up and put him back in the play pen, and then lay down and watch. He climbs on top of a box (it's in there as a hideway kind of thing, though he never really uses it for that. We also put hay in there so he can munch on it all day.) and then LEAPS through the air about a foot and a half (or so) and grabs onto the top of the babygate with his front paws. He was perched like a cat, basically. He then shoves off of his back feet, and winds up on the other side of the gate. After all that effort, I just let him stay out.

(Which made trying to nap interesting, as every few minutes I had a bunny about 2 inches from my face sniffing.)

And wow. Just as I'm typing this, guess who's head pops around the corner into my craft room?

Looks like it's time to rabbit proof the whole upstairs...
