Title: Help, I am rattie-less in Houston Post by: CampRhubarb on August 10, 2004, 10:09:59 AM Can anyone in my area give any information on a good place to get some great babies? I am at the BOTTOM of Texas, so obviously traveling anywhere outside of TX would take forever (except maybe Louisiana). I have contacted most of the shelters in my area and have come up with nothing. Can anyone help me?

BTW, I did get your application, I'm just running behind.. I've had a few e-mail issues I've been sorting through lately... I had tried desperately to adopt rats from Lone Star and filled out 3 online applications over the summer (1st one in May) and never heard back from you. Was there something wrong with your server so that you didn't get my applications? My name is Twyla Loftin and one of my students who is very much into rats turned me on to your website. I didn't want to buy from the major pet stores, so I ended up getting mine from a small pet store in Austin.
I'm hoping to buy a nice big 3 level cage soon (the cage I have is fine, but I want a fancy one!) haha.... I'll go to the proper forum to introduce myself and my new boys!! :) Anyway.....Lone Star.....if you run across my application, I may still be interested if you have any males available. Thanks!! Title: Re: Help, I am rattie-less in Houston Post by: Lone Star Rats on August 15, 2004, 10:36:58 AM Twila, I only see one (it's possible there were more which my spam filter ate - I had some major problems with it a few months ago), to which I replied in mid-June.. but I never heard anything back, however from checking your e-mail address, roadrunner seems to hate me and my e-mails, so that could explain it.. I was at one point getting failure notices from them saying messages couldn't be delivered, but now apparently my messages just don't go through and I never know about it.. *sigh* Apparently my host is on some e-mail blacklist.. it's frustrating (part of the e-mail issues I mentioned above)
I'll e-mail you in a little bit from my other e-mail.. and forward you my original reply :) Title: Re: Help, I am rattie-less in Houston Post by: leemerson63 on October 05, 2004, 04:31:59 PM i have a great 1 1/2 year old male fancy rattie for adoption. i live in the heights/montrose area in houston. i know in your post you said babies. but i thought that if you were looking for babies maybe you or someone you knew would be interested in helping a sweet adult get back to the way i know he was meant to be. i recently took Stig home to get him to a safer environment. for almost 2 years now, he has been neglected and living in solitude. he needs someone who is capable of working with him in a positve and calm manner and helping nurse him back to the sweet rat he really is. if you or anyone you know is interested or would like more info, please email me at leemerson63@yahoo.com or reply. thanks so much! lee
