Title: Home needs rats in Cincinnati, OH
Post by: RatRaisin on December 28, 2004, 07:46:45 AM
My vet put me in contact with a lady who recently lost her one boy.  She wasn't going to get another but her "kids convinced her" - personally I think she wanted more too.  Her last rat was her laundry buddy and would watch over her as she swapped loads ;o)

So I'm exploring for available rats in OH, IN, KY on her behalf.

As far as her wants go:

She wants 2 boys and has a cage suitable for only 2 boys.
She'd prefer babies or thereabouts.
She would love the super-friendly handled-since-birth type (she has kids).
She'll take any color and ear style though she's spooked by pink eyes.

She'd prefer to adopt but breeder babes are a possibility if no young bucks are in need of a home at this time.

Can you help?  If so, send me an email with descriptions or photos if you have them so we can figure out how to get some rats to her ;O)

Thanks,
Nat

I can do an OH trip if I get enough interest (atleast 6 adoptions) or charge for gas.  I know that's alittle hard to do, but thought I'd offer the option.

I have a few possibles.. one pair is 4 mos old, dk brown berks w/silver ticking -handled since birth, but a little shy still(however, are content to sit on shoulder or in a pocket)

and I have 3 boys who are 10 wks old -same color/type as above... but have only been handled in the past 4 wks since i've received them.  They have come a long way, are still a little skittish to loud, sudden noises, but are fine in a pocket -very curious though of their surroundings.
I also have 2 boys, rex blazed dumbos, going on 5 mos. have been handled, but one likes to sit still the other doesn't  --adoption is pending on these last two, but i am still taking inquiries for them.

I also have two boys, dumbo blue berkshire rexes in desperate need of a new home.  We can't seem to get transport to Kentucky and they need to be placed ASAP or end up as feeders (thanks to the mother of the girl fostering them!).

I can get pictures if you're interested and I'm traveling to State College, PA in about 2 weeks.

HEY!!!

If you are still looking I have two boys handled since birth. love toys treats and wrestling hands while snuggling on the couch.  My living conditions have changed (ie i am moving in with my mom who is freaked enough by the girls :'() and can not take them. So if you or anyone else wants them let me know. They are 10 weeks and both are brown hoodeds.

let me know..

okay....i am not giving up my squishy boys...i thought about it all last night and all day today at work....i don't care if my mom doesn't like them i love them and that's what matters....she says that when i move in it will be our house not just hers which means that i should be able to make a few decisions right??? right.....so my decision is to keep my lovely baby boys and not abandon them to the great big world..if all else fails i'll tell my mom that i could have sworn i only had three but i guess i can't count too well......

connie and the group....cheddar, yetta, gigi, blaze, and lightening...
